Re: FIA permitted doughnut for F1 2014
Wasnt it more the smoke/visibility that was the problem rather than the physical car itself as a hazard?

Re: Autosport Plus
Slightly off-topic but i've considering subscribing to autosport, could anyone who has one tell me a bit about it? is it worth getting the web and physical subscription or does the web pretty much have it all?

Re: The Official Jenson Button thread
one would assume that Mclaren implemented the rear suspension in a way that it could be easily switched out should it not be approved?

Re: FIA permitted doughnut for F1 2014
Jokes aside; the real problem of drivers (seb) lighting up the track while drivers are still racing seems to be more of a relatively isolated problem that could be dealt with a lot more casually and personally than a blanket rule. It's the old problem of hammer or scalpel, sure its easier to use a h...

Re: McLaren engine
Correct me if Im wrong but wasn't it originally McLaren's plan to build there own engine when they announced that the Mercedes partnership was ending? Obviously that isn't happening now for whatever reason but Im sure one day we will see a Mclaren engine in F1. They dont really have the incentive t...

Re: FIA permitted doughnut for F1 2014
If the victorious driver will exit his Formula 1 Car, he will be taken to the specially built Doughnut Car where he will be permitted to spin its wheels, causing the tires to heat up and smoke due to friction. Whilst executing this manoeuvre he will be permitted to complete a single 360 degree rotat...

Re: The Narratives of 2014
Yeah in terms of more serious stories i want to see what Williams and Lotus can do, and outside of that a Mclaren, Ferrari, Mercedes front line would be a pleasure to watch.

Re: The Narratives of 2014
I expect Caterham to score points at least once this year. A majority of engineers and analysts claim it will be about reliability this season, so it is not unthinkable that Kobayashi or Ericsson scores some points if he manages to cross the line in a race with many retirements. The same counts for...

The Narratives of 2014
I think for a lot of fans the actual race is just the embodiment of everything else thats going on, the surprise rookie, the cutthroat rivalries, the impossible comebacks. People tend to remember this stuff more than they remember who won the championship on a given year. For me the most exciting th...

I'd love to see Grosjean up there and Massa bring Williams back to the front line but my heart tells me its going to be a mclaren vs mercedes front.

Hey guys,
been a casual F1 fan for a few years but the rule shakeup for 2014 really grabbed my attention. Looking forward to watching how it all pans out.
