Re: Engine Sounds
The start of the race sounded so quiet on tv. The camera was behind T1 and there was barely any noise at all! One thing that I miss the most is the revving up at the start, it reminds me: this means business!

This thread is turning into 'who cheated the most'? They both took the gherkin, yet both fans feel hard done by. Can you provide pictures/footage of when Alonso took the gherkin? If you have skyF1, you could look for a replay and watch the after match discussion, where both were interviewed and the...

He doesn't say that he received warnings during the fight with Vettel, although he did cross the line a few times most likely. What do you expect! 27 laps on the same tyre, I believe, and he occasionally goes a few inches wide. It's a part of racing, extracting the most out of every corner, some co...

My apologies, I thought this is a discussion forum. Apparently it's a "I say this because that's how I feel it and I don't see the need to back up my opinion with facts". How is my opinion not backed up with facts? I highlighted the fact in my previous post, the one you're reacting to. I'll repeat ...

Re: Alonso versus Seb
Realistically, if it wasnt for the fresher tyres, Red Bull top speed (with DRS as well) could have been the same or even slower than Ferrari's... which in turn tells me that, Ferrari should have been about 20kmph faster than Red Bull in equal terms (both with or both without DRS and both with the s...

Re: Alonso versus Seb
I am starting to think letting the radio comms be part of the broadcast can go against the spectable. Today's 13 lap fight was spectacular and reminiscent of other times in F1 where close racing was more likely. Yet the constant whining ruined it a little for me. Had I not heard it I would have bee...

Hey guys/girls, my dad was fairly disappointed that he forgot both the Goodwood FoS and British grand prix was on this weekend, so we're thinking of going to the German Grand Prix the following weekend :) I'm just wondering, since I'm English speaking, would it be a bit confusing with the track comm...

Re: Half season - Mercedes further ahead than ever?
Good point. Looks like it will be a while for drivers like Alonso and Kimi to be challenging for a win. I like the racing as long as there is competition between Lewis and Nico, but I don't think it's fair for some of the drivers.

Bottas. Alonso was entertaining but failing to enter his grid spot (for which he got off too lightly IMO) and all the whining made it an easy choice to go with Valtteri. What penalty would you have given then and why I thought he'd get a drive through, it was such an obvious offence. It was not as ...

Is the Marussia that much worse than the Sauber at the moment? They seem to be impressing every weekend at the moment. Qualified 12th and 13th yesterday. I think that Marussia have slightly the better drivers (yupp, Guttierrez is that bad!). I still think that Marrussia have the worser car, althoug...

Re: Driver of the Day: British Grand Prix
Very close between Bottas and Alonso for me but Bottas gets it by a whisker. Aggressively carved his way through the field at the beginning and was never under threat once he got into second place. Great drive. Alonso also hauled that Ferrari up past where it belongs in a commanding display, with s...

Re: Driver of the Day: British Grand Prix
Alonso wasn't that impressive. He got himself a silly penalty and failed to pass Button in a much faster car. You pretend as though Button drives with an engine equivalent in straight line speed to Alonso's. Hmmm Alonso was catching Button up on all the straights and loosing time on the bends...

Re: Alonso versus Seb
Vettel was already well into the DRS zone, he didn't gain anything by running off the track. Also Alonso exceeded track limits a lot as well. If one gets penalized the other should too. The problem was that Vettel exceeded track limits on the exit of the last corner. This caused him to catch up to ...

This could end up being the shortest race in F1 history. They seem to be having problems getting the Armco barrier off, and if they can't repair it then they can't continue with the race. I doubt it would take 2 hours and a quarter to fix, although I do agree with you that the four hour rule is not...

Yeah, there's nothing more I love doing than karting, but I rarely get the chance to. And it's so dear! I think that F1 is missing a group that should be targetted more: the youth. I'm 16 myself, and out of 150 people in my year, only 2 others watch Formula 1, and they don't even watch it that inten...

Good point about Rosberg. I didn't look at it that way. Whilst you would think merc will be quick again next year there will be other teams closer to them so more rivals for the championship. Only if it was to go to Merc or RBR. Nowhere else is as likely to give him wins. After next year, when he will have a comparison between Ferrari and Mclaren, then it may be worth considering. F1 isn't the only motorsport that he's interested in. He's went to rallying before, so I don't see why he wouldn't want to drive in the Le Mans series, motorcross, or whatever. He'll be 35 (I think) in 2016, and, if he doesn't retain a place in Ferrari for that year, why would he go to a different a...
