Re: 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread

10 Second Stop/Go for Seb. Could have been longer. And seb has to gall to ask, "What did I do, dangerous driving?" Vettel is an idiot. Vettel is not an idiot. He's a blithering idiot. Hopefully in addition to the stop and go penalty, Charlie assesses him an additional 10 position grid penalty for n...

Re: 2017 Azerbaijan Grand Prix Race Thread
Now, LH should ram Vettel and just get a drive through, if he is on the track ... will be better for him if the 2 cars don't finish, less points for Vettel, sounds like a reasonable logic, taken the fact of the farce those stewards are. Why farce? Hamilton is behind Vettel only because Mercedes mec...

Re: McLaren cut Partnership with Honda for 2018
I wonder whether Honda is going to buy Sauber. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!!! That would be yet another epic mistake by Honda. They were utterly ruined as a works team the first time. Today they look even less competent than back then. Not going to happen. What's wrong with Sauber? They did very well I...

Re: Porsche to leave LeMans?
While that would be awful for WEC (if true) I couldn't be happier for FE. The neanderthals that keep trying to reject FE can't keep believing it's going to go away any time soon I still find WEC races much more exciting than FE and that's not because FE is powered by batteries. I love the technolog...

Porsche to leave LeMans?
There are rumours that Porsche might leave Le Mans. Porsche leaving could mean end of LMP1 class, because at least 2 manufactures are required in LMP1.

Re: Jordan: Mercedes F1 team will quit after 2018
Manufacturers typically come and go, however Mercedes have stayed longer than anybody else in F1 1994-2017 so far , 23 years and now in its 8th year as a team which I believe is the joint most for any manufacturer in one stint. They also owned 30-40% of Mclaren for a long time. It would be nice for...

Poor button, has a 15 place grid penalty for replacing some PU parts. That's one thing Liberty should be looking at IMO - doing away with these ridiculous penalties Or maybe if Honda could build an engine that didn't repeatedly fail.. Yes. Honda is fully responsible, not the FIA. Everyone else has ...

Re: PF1: Vettel to Mercedes?
I don't see why Vette would like to leave Ferrari. Ferrari seems on pair with Mercedes or even better. Lets wait and see because at the start of the season Ferrari are very strong but as the season progresses they tend to fade, they usually dont keep up with Mercedes in updates. Keep in mind that F...

Re: Force India/Brabham rumour
I am with Herb and the LT. on this. Better to let the Brabham name rest in peace rather than selling it for licensing rights so someone can buy and instant fanbase and perceived credibility. I suppose, as with Lotus, they would try to claim the Brabham victories as theirs as well. I haven't seen an...

Re: Should McLaren leave F1? Concentrate on Sportscars?
Wouldn't McLaren as a car manufacture be forced to compete in Le Mans in the same category as Porsche and Toyota? Going to Le Mans would also mean developing their own hybrid engine. Going to any other series mean pretty much closure of their current racing team.

I wouldn't rule out Red Bull yet. Max is the driver that alone can make a difference. Beside that Vettel said during winter testing that Ferrari hard work in 2016 was masked by bad results in 2016. Behind the scenes Ferrari had huge reorganization and made huge progress. Ferrari weakness is 1 lap pa...

Re: Mercedes must back Hamilton, now
I think it's too early. Hamilton is only 23 points ahead of Bottas. They were talking like that was a lot on the Sky F1 show but it really isn't with the current points. I think they need to have some kind of agreement that if your team mate is behind you and faster you let him past. Other than tha...

Newey has not won a championship without Exhaust Blown Diffusers (or Coanda Exhausts). You know he had winning designs before Red Bull right? Of course, all those cars had blown diffusers. No they didn't. Newey and everyone else went away from them in the mid 90's because they caused too much of a ...

Re: The Real Reason Red Bull are Behind
Some title winning Red Bull weren't quickest out of the box. In 2012 Vettel only started winning races on regular basis during second part of the season iirc. The 2017 car still might win multiple races. While I agree that Red Bull might still turn things around this year and it's way too early to ...
