Re: 2017 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread
Kimi has been shocking today. Took 5 laps to get past Ocon. Vettel and Bottas took about 5 corners. And yet people are still claiming team orders put Vettel ahead of him :) On few occasions, they have. That's not say that Kimi hasn't been shockingly poor for years and his last decent season was 201...

Re: Ferrari "not interested" in Alonso
I wouldn't be surprised if SM is drafting the contact for Alonso while he's saying that he's not interested in him. It just that way it is in sports, you deny until it is official.
I'm not saying they are working on bringing back Fernando, just that I wouldn't surprised if they did.

Am I angry - yes - as I'm wondering about why target a driver differently from race to race - as the journalist from PF1 has done - consistently against Daniel - no problem if DR does badly and is targeted - fair enough - but this is not balanced. Is there a commercial reason to push Verstappen reg...

Kimi is simply not good enough.
Max is pretty unhappy about Danny jumping him.
It wasn't "engineered". Seb is simply much faster. He managed to get overcut without Kimi being stuck in traffic.

Vandoorne tried to execute Fernando's revenge but as all things McLaren Honda - it didn't pan out the way he expected it. Stroll who has been getting harsh criticism hasn't done anything as silly as what Vandoorne just did there What he did in China was pretty silly. In fact, it was similar to what ...

That Alonso guy looks promising. Hopefully a top team gives him a chance :-P The McLaren is realistically the 6th fastest car (Grosjean ruined his lap) which given the Honda in the back of the car is massively impressive. Talented drivers who didn't impress initially?
So, I'm watching Stroll who has been very underwhelming so far but I've been saying to myself "He's only 18, give him a chance". And then I started - was there a really talented who looked out of his depth and no - I wouldn't say so. Guys like Alonso, Kubica, Ricciardo, Hamilton and Vettel all start...

rant I've truly given up on Honda. No amount of testing would remedy the situation, something is really really wrong in their engineering and especially QA department. Hamilton, Verstappen, Vettel were all great. Hard to pick one of those. Alonso was set to finish 8th (I don't think KMag was going to catch him) but totally unpredictable factors like Honda didn't allow him to.
