Re: SkySports F1 HD on the cheap or even free

Don't know if it is available through orange swapables, I had a look today and sky sports f1 wasn't listed.

Doesn't matter to me anyway as I've got a windows phone which doesn't play flash so can't get it regardless :(

Can one of the mods please put up a sticky thread regarding how to put in things like spoilers again like yellow_mod did on the old forum? I can't for the life of me figure out how to do it (same as a lot of other people judging by the amount of 's I'm seeing all over the place. It isn't that you'r...

Re: What was it about F1 that hooked us in to love the sport

After not understanding why anyone watched F1 until then, I found it weirdly hypnotic. It's almost like cricket in the way, nothings happening, but something might happen soon and when it does, if you look away for a few seconds, you'll miss it! (But unlike cricket, nothings happening at a much fast...

Re: The Official Religion thread

If you don't mind me suggesting a couple things: First: Using religious texts as argument against the concept of God is farcical. Either you accept those texts originate directly from a God therefore accept that a God exists or otherwise if you claim God doesn't exist than you have to claim that th...

Re: The Official Religion thread

I turned away from mincism years ago. These days I only worship the Q'uorn... Sacrilege!!! The Q'uorn is a false prohphet only the heathen vegetarians would bow the knee before him. I think the problem with the followers of Q'uorn is that they want to be Mincist's but don't have the personal ...

Re: The Official Religion thread

Everyone's been rather joking up until now, but I'm going to go ahead and outline my opinions here. I'm an eighteen-year-old, spoiled, American brat, just for some context here. I was raised Catholic, but I just can't reconcile myself with some of the teachings of the religion. Mainly, that abortio...

Re: Redbull pull a fast one...shipping in NEW car

Keep praying, Hamilton is better than Button. Only reason Button beat Hamilton last year was because the Championship was over so 2nd or last is the same for drivers like Senna/Hamilton. Isn't there a hamilton fanboy thread yet so comments like this which choose to ignore basic statistics can be sh...

@ ToughGuy

That Vortex painting is awesome!

I like the style of the London night scenes, but the buses ruin it for me, couldn't put those on my wall. But hey, that's art, it's all personal and subjective :D

Re: Audi unveil R18 e-tron quattro - with Williams flywheel

I really want to see a kinetic KERS system working well. It would make things a whole lot easier than lugging around a lump of battery and would also be a fairly cheap alternative to transfer to road car manufacturing with a longer life than the current battery hybrids. Is it just me or are the fron...

Re: Truth, where is Eurytus?

I think the forum is weakened by losing him. Clearly shot himself in the foot when he turned his (substantial) ire on the mods but the reason I stopped bothering with an old F1 forum I used to browse is because it lost a few senior members who were part of the furniture. The quality of the average ...

As others have said, Eury did give great posts and was usually the voice of correctness on the F1 topics. But when it came to off topic, he could never take a joke and was ALWAYS right (as alien said in an above post) even if he wasn't. As Laura said before, he got into an argument with the mods and...

Anyone ever been nabbed for speeding by a radar gun? That radar gun uses a principle known as the Doppler effect. Basically, if an object is moving towards you, the radar bounced off it is compressed, and when it is bounced off and returns, the wavelength is shorter. And if it's moving away, the wa...

Re: UNIVERSE Matters

Something I did read (back in the 80's) was that the universe as we know it is expanding from and around, the origination point of the big bang. The 'bang site' as such still holds a gravitational pull of sorts, but the continuous outward movement is still the inertia from the initial bang. The theo...
