Re: Gutierrez being evaluated for '17 drive at Ferrari

Can't see Gutierrez ever being offered a full-time Ferrari seat. He has to have developed a heck of a lot in the past year if he's not be considered one of the weakest drivers on the grid, as I don't think he was much better than Ericsson in 2014. I would not take this Haas story at all seriously -...

Re: Lewis: "There can only be one No 1 driver in a team"

Okay, I'm going to try this one last time and I'll use short words so that those willfully trying to avoid the point can maybe soak it in a bit. My daddy was a WDC. (Arguably the least deserving ever, having only won one race in the year and at a time when reliability decided everything and a chang...

Re: F1 on its deathbed?

I've been reading up a bit on costs in F1, and it just makes no sense the state the sport is in right now. Looking back to 1995, Benetton won the championship with a budget of just over $40 million. Adjusted for inflation that is just under $70 million, and Michael Schumacher's wages alone accounte...

Re: Lewis: "There can only be one No 1 driver in a team"

Let's get some perspective here. Hamilton was asked and answered a question, without ever alluding to wanting No 1 status in the team. But the bald fact is that things cannot continue as they have, with Nico looking like someone stole his dummy, complaining about the bully who stole his bit of trac...

Don't know about Spain, but I still have the Mexico race on tape. Maldonado did not pass Grosjean there. All of the Vettel votes are a bit of a head-scratcher for me. Why? Because Raikkonen was terrible? Vettel finished right where he should be expected to finish (right behind the mercs). I wouldn't vote him driver of the year for that. How do we know Kimi was terrible? Maybe Vettel was just really re...

The latest quote from Toto clearly states that it is Rosberg that would have to leave with his contract under consideration for renewal. That's not how I read it; his contract renewal might not be as early in the season as Hamilton's was, is how I understood it. You may be right though, it is so ha...

Its not exceptional but a long way from laughable.

I always wonder with Lewis how long a career he will have. He seems so excited by life outside formula 1. I could easily see him retiring in the next 3/4 years.

Button has performed better versus Hamilton than Rosberg has if you ask me Not really, Rosberg has bested Hamilton in more races in their 3 years together than Button did. Button scored more points, but that was largely because of Hamilton appealing luck in 2012, where he lost 120-150 points. By co...

Dominant McLaren: Rosberg, easily. I wouldn't be so certain. Everybody knows that Button in a car to his liking is damn-near unbeatable. So you're going to have to specify if that dominant McLaren prefers his or Rosberg's setup. I'll agree that he has a narrow working window but you can balance tha...

All could in the right scenario.

Kimi would need a lot of things to come together.

Button would need the best car by 2 or 3 tenths and a weaker team mate.

Hamilton, Vettel and Alonso could take a WDC in a multitude of scenarios.
