Re: Susie Wolff gets YDT test...

But what is all that point in bringing in the possible atrocities against women in this world and linking those with a silly sticker on a helmet? Or even these grid girls? They don't look to me to be suffering exactly. If they do, then they should not apply for the job. And if it is sexism, then it...

The bit in bold intrigues me though, I'd have said completely the opposite. They don't look dumb to me they just look attractive (well, most of them). You are the one making presumptions, why would a girl be dumb just because she is wearing a short dress and high heels? I don't judge them on that. ...

Re: Susie Wolff gets YDT test...

One might even go so far as to say it is sexist to include her. If she hasn't shown trhe ability up to now then she is being included purely on the basis of her gender. I guess the proof is in the pudding, if she does good times then she has proved her place there, like any of the other drivers. If...

Re: Susie Wolff gets YDT test...

As a female, I have to say I don't believe F1 'needs' women drivers at all. It needs the best drivers regardless of gender, or as close to that as is possible in the current economic climate. The fact that no women currently fits that criteria does not equal sexism, and as others have pointed out -...

I imagine that the real agenda of certain posters in this thread is that they feel the whole thing smacks somewhat primarily of a publicity stunt. In that sense, Wolff is no different to the several pay drivers we've had in recent years being scrutinised for exactly the same reason, which is do the...

Yes, it is up to Williams to decide who drives for them... However, with testing so severely restricted, good feedback even over "one day" would count a lot. Susie hasn't exactly covered herself in glory in whatever category she raced, and this is why a lot are questioning the judgment of Williams ...

The Pit Babes thread I definitely wouldn't miss.

In fact it would be nice to see the back of them on the grid as well. They only distract and get in the way. In fact I'd like to see all the token females in F1 disappear. What useful purpose do they serve apart from a bit of PC?
