Re: Rosberg's ability (or lack of) on Race Day

KingVoid wrote:Well yes, what I meant to say was that Rosberg is just as intrinsically fast as Hamilton and Vettel in clean air.
He can be as fast depending on the track, especially over one lap, but in general Hamilton usually has the measure on him at most tracks and is pacing him self when we hit race day.

Re: 2015 Malaysian GP Race Thread

Vettel seems very comfy and at ease, and driving very smoothy, able to look after the tyres very well. He's helped develop the car into something very drivable and something that fits his driving style very well. Of course Alonso would of been fast with it, but better then Vettel, is impossible to ...

Re: Rosberg's ability (or lack of) on Race Day

He was pretty poor again today with his race craft. He had the perfect chance to take 2nd from Vettel after a better start but backed out. If that was Alonso & Hamilton or other drivers on the grid, they would of gone for it, and took second, and tried to challenge Hamilton. And he took to long to ...

Re: Looks like Alonso messed up leaving Ferrari

I am an Alonso fan, but I don't think Ferrari would have done as well if he stayed. Ferrari needed an overhaul to bring back confidence in the team. Alonso was part of the old political team, and that would have been negative for the new. Seb is perfect for Ferrari now, he is fresh and its all abou...

Could be a Schumacher thing going on with this Vettel-Ferrari partnership. I reckon they will develop great as the season goes on, unlike the past years. The whole team is just so much stronger now, and Vettel is playing a massive part in that.

It was so obvious Nico blocked Lewis. You would have to be blind to not see the obvious of what happened on track at that moment. He's already up to his tricks and it's only the second race.

The bad news for Ferrari though is that they are not the best at car development throughout the season, at least judging by what we have seen these last years. Obviously things can change... We don't know that under the Vettel-Ferrari era. They could well develop massively better than they did the ...

He wasn't able to drive Ferrari forward and never really fit into the whole Ferrari philosophy within the team, as a person, motivator & development driver. Not the way Schumacher did, and by early signs already not the way Vettel will help push the whole team forward either. Since the Alonso/Ferrar...

. I'm quite happy with the performance of both Ferraris today. Kimi was just a little unlucky at the start, that's all, which compromised his race. It was difficult to overtake: after all Vettel had to wait for the pit stops to overtake Massa, despite being clearly quicker. But this weekend they de...

My claim was that an Alonso/Ricciardo driving the Ferrari might have been able to challenge Rosberg for 2nd. I think given Kimi's comments above, this suggestion is hardly absurd. To anyone who knows. By not having a so-called title sponsor, does that create "room" for them to take on more minor sponsors? The computer can only do so much, the numbers don't always translate to the track. What really counts then is how those upgrades work on the simulator, and then on the track, this is where the drivers development feedback come in, which play a big part in the development.
