Re: Maldonaldo's incident: stupidy or misjudgement
Post race Maldo said he was always going into the pit that lap. Why then was he fighting so hard around the outside of the final turn before the pits on the inside? If he had yielded to Gutierrez he'd have gotten to the pits quicker than hanging it out around the outside. I thought it was another Ma...

Re: Lauda: "Alonso is the best racer out there today"
However, all of the above is forgetting that he did play his part in helping his teammate win one for the team in '07 and in '08, he almost won another for the team. The very year another "great" driver won his WDC on the last corner of the last lap of the last race of the year. I wonder why the "g...

Lauda's point is that a driver has to be careful of his performance if he isn't liked, then you said so has Vettel and Hamilton as well so would your opinion be that they are not liked within their teams. Then you opinion its the same for all the drivers so, that being the case why has Massa been a...

Re: Maldonaldo's incident: stupidy or misjudgement
The pit entry at Spa is by far the worst-designed on the entire calendar with the possible exception of Interlagos. I'm surprised we don't see more incidents like this, to be honest. With such a long lap, anyone picking up damage at the chicane (which is not uncommon, every year since 2007 there ha...

He has a contract with McLaren for next year, unless the team are failing some performance clauses and he can get out of it. I can't see him going to either Ferrari or Red Bull. Hamilton was a couple of seconds behind Vettel on the road, i doubt the circuit dries that quickly. He was only ahead by a tenth and a half. And that's the difference between Hamilton and Vettel. Bottas has appeared to be the better of the two this year in my opinion. Whether Maldonado is experiencing a lull while trying to tone down his over-aggressiveness is a consideration I guess. Curiously, the ratio of people who have actually commented on the thread is closer to 1:3.
