Good insight, but the writer keeps saying "produce more heat" ? Anyway, another article someone linked on here has pointed out that with the new regs of a separate pipe required to vent, Honda, and the others, will get a "free" redesign of the turbo unit Yeah I'm not sure why he keeps referring to ...

Re: Would F1 2015 be better without Mercedes? must read
I've watched F1 religiously since 1998 (I know, not that long). I was the type that would get up in the early hours to watch the build up and race, every race. I've watched seasons of car dominations and f1 has always kept my interest but this season doesn't feel like f1 to me and I'm struggling to...

I think he will. I don't know if it will happen this year, but I suspect they will have a very good chance to podium early next year. To me FI has been punching above it's weight this year.

I'm going to read too much into this (on purpose! :-P ) and say that Niki has just revealed that Mercedes are operating on a number 1 and number 2 driver set-up... Niki (seriously now) is no fool, although he sometimes speaks before he thinks. But if he really thinks that Rosberg is on a level with...

why don't the customer teams 'club' together and finance Cosworth or Ilmore or whoever to build a 'new' engine? I think I remember Cosworth saying at the change point that if 2 teams wanted them for 3 years they would do it. Red bull are 2 teams, but how long would it take them to gear up to produc...

For me it's Sergio and Jenson. I might have others but I was kinda in and out of consciousness because of the times I watch most races due to my location.
Sergio - Fantastic driver
Jenson - Improvements/carnage on track or not to remain in the points with the McHonda was something special.

For me:
Kimi
Marcus
Max
Kimi - only a shade of what he used to be
Marcus - money or not I don't understand how he is still in F1
Max - very good for being very young, but by no means does he deserve to get compared to Ayrton

It was a little too close for comfort. I wonder if the Marshalls have access to race data, confirming the location of cars on the circuit? Ultimately, it looked like the Marshall probably acted on his own, but you must think there is a better way of doing it ... like a link with the race director, ...

No I don't think F1 would be better off. I do think that the rules should have some tweaking to allow better ability to cap staff. I'm thinking if you are able to cap those who are able to put in technical guidance you might have a much better chance at allowing the teams to compete on a more level ...

It has me thinking now. The Honda is a "McLaren Honda", not a Honda team. It is possible that they could also have a Red-Bull Honda as well. Since neither Red Bull, nor McLaren actually makes engines, it could be work for both. Twice (or may be even three times) as many cars to learn from could hel...

Does anyone think it's strange when Honda "dont have enough parts" for both drivers, as if another set is just outside the companies resources. With Renault it was always a partnership on the ERS side. So this isn't all down on Renault. No, I don't believe this is true. The token system, although I'm still not really in favour of it, isn't quite as restrictive as some make out. It doesn't limit engine development at all That is not correct, or at least incomplete. The token system is devised to work over multiple years, and gradually closes up all possibilities fo...

It's encouraging that they'll be overhauling the ERS for 2016. We do not know though how much of Renaults problems in the Red Bull were due to the requirements of the car. Renault since 2005 have won 6 WCC championships, Mercedes have won 3 WCC and Ferrari 1 WCC. Renault is not going to forget how to build a good ICE overnight.
