If Alonso leaves AM & goes to Mercedes, I wonder if Checo would take his place for 2025 at AM. Am will be switching to Honda in 2026 so Checo's knowledge of running with Honda engine & AM being his previous team where he knows most of the team could be beneficial.

You can say that again. Leclerc is more capable than Checo in the Red Bull to fight Max. Max will try to open a 1 second gap by lap 2 to avoid giving DRS to the car behind.

A red flag in qualy also stops the time running. The red flag has no consequence on time running in practice sessions or pre season tests.

But something should be done to keep time as a buffer to warrant less of a penalty to drivers who can run or need more running.
