Re: Driver of the Race - Singapore
I remember two words from an arcade game which most of us may know and love, Mortal Kombat... and the words are "Flawless Victory!" As mcdo said... at one time he had more fuel than he needed :D Under normal circumstances i'd rate Alonso and Raikkonen's performance about the same for runners-up, but...

Re: RBR really equal?
^ Mark did that in Hungary 2010 when he was released from the SC. Ended up winning the race because Vettel got stuck behind Alonso due to the penalty he received in trying to help Webber. However, that was a different circumstance, no? Vettel was holding cars at bay... though i sincerely don't reme...

Re: The advantage is obvious now
There is one thing that F1 cannot be and still be F1, and that is completely artificial racing. It is not a race to see who is the best driver. It is a race to see who makes the best CAR + DRIVER combination. Therefore, if a racing team happens to have a car that is 2.5s faster per lap than the res...

Re: 2013 Singapore GP Race Thread
Seriously what absolute rubbish...the only person that's pulled a fast one on a teamate this year is Vettel. And why is people are still trying to tarnish Hamilton, when he obviously played the team game and brought the car home, behind Rosberg as he was told e ven though it looked like he was the ...

Yes I think the manners of F1 fans has deteriorated over the years because the manners of everyone has deteriorated over the years. People, whether individ...

Re: Honda engines in 2015...
I find it hard to believe that Honda would wish to get back into being a Formula One manufacturer. Both times they tried it met with moderate success and some good reasons for leaving the sport. But their one foray into being an engine manufacturer was a spectacular success and gave them the reputa...

 I'm sure Martin Brundle wants to! Three things come to mind. 1. Nigel not fitting in it. 2. 'BANG!' "That'll be the end of the McLaren then" 3. Ron Dennis saying the Peugeot was better than the Lamborghini... Thanks for bringing back the (somewhat painful) memories, especially #1. Hadn't seen...

I have never seen Webber pull away as impressively as Vettel does... well, may be i don't remember but... what i can see is Vettel doing it everytime when he needs it. It is a bit like when Alonso's turn in was good to heat-up Michelin tyres very quickly. Wait... Alonso was cheating?

Re: 2013 Singapore GP Race Thread
They simply weren't confident they could do 30+ laps to finish the race. Both Rosberg and Hamilton's tires were relatively new when the safety car came out. I just don't see any favoritism in the way they made their decision. Mercedes knows that Vettel is going to win the Driver's championship. Ham...

Re: The advantage is obvious now
The FIA should have never changed the tyre rules half way though the season. Much of it is down to this as it slowed other teams down while giving both RB and merc a speed gain. Slight correction... it didn't slow other teams as much as it speeded RBR and Mercedes... As a tifoso, i was up in arms a...

They were caught CHEATING last year and never penalized. They were not caught cheating, which is why they were not penalized. I think Singapore makes no sense at all, its a tiny island completely full of urban area of the city itself, with no space at all. Same as Monaco. This argument only makes sense if you're trying to build a purpose built race-track in a confined space, occupying land which could be better used elsew...
