Re: Vettels achievements vs Hamiltons achievements
Well, Vettel's win this weekend was fortunate. What do you expect people to say? I don't think you can blame the British media. Vettel tends to get less appreciation from within the paddock generally. Personally I rate them very closely with Hamilton having a slight edge. That's not to say a good c...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2018 Australian Grand Prix
Glad to see Kimi perform and get the first pitstop, Ferrari tactics worked out, it doesn't happen very often.
Merc will probably not cruise so much from now on..
To me Alonso and Ricciardo, IMO Red Bull looks very promising with tension and 2 very good drivers.

All of this driver A in season B beat driver C is all an assumption that nothing changes which is IMO wrong. Kimi and Ferrari where the fastest in the second half off 2007. In 2008 none of them had a very good season IMO. Some of these drivers have changed teams multiple Times. Why is it so hard to...

Another myth, the McLaren of 2007 and 2008 Was voted Car of the year and even the driver Said it Was the best car. Why this urge to talk down Lewis cars? That's because back then it was assumed that both Kimi and Massa were top line drivers, it's also strange considering that Ferrari won the most r...

In 2007 McLaren Threw away a Huge lead in the second half and Was outperformed by Kimi in the end, in 2008 I wouldn’t say that neither McLaren nor Ferrari where smoothe operating. It’s still so that McLaren Was voted the car of the year.

If all the pre season guessing comes true and once again Merc have a huge PU advantage it's not a difficult question, Vettel would need a miracle to split the Merc drivers once again and try to grab a win or two. Ferrari hadn’t exploited oil burning to the extent Mercedes were able to in 2017 so therefore finally be able to match the grunt, hopefully Renault will do the same. So, with the best chassi and best drivers Red Bull will dominate again with Ferrari a close second. Mercedes finally after four years ...

Going on this title thread, I agree that Hamilton only wants to drive for 2 more seasons, but who knows with Lewis. Believe he's got another title in the bag, hoping more fans will warm up to him over this period.. Seems to me, F1 viewers have split opions of him, despite his genuine honesty on tra...

I think he was very open that after dominating the regulations and winning 4 titles in a row he didn't adjust to the change in regulations. <https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/116015/vettel-says-2014-car-doesnt-s...

You mean when they both had the same car, Ric was winning a few races and essentially best of the rest behind Merc.. while Vettel threw a tantrum and quit RBR. I find comments like this ridiculous and short sighted. Ric proved him self against Vettel - if his fans like it or not. We will never know...

2007-2011 Hamilton isn't much different to 2011-2017 Hamilton in my book. Its more circumstantial. Look at his first year in 2007, he had no incidents and made 1 driver error all year under a special scenario where the team left him out on inters that had worn down to the canvas something that hasn...

Indeed and Rosberg never actually lost a title to Hamilton based on having more bad luck. With the double points in 2015 that is a highly arguable claim, switch the "bad luck" and Rosberg has 2 titles. Hamilton had more bad luck than Rosberg in 2015. I agree if Hamilton had endured even worse luck ...

But no one has had such cars that he has had so it's hard to compare with a driver fighting in the midfield. It helps for sure but he also drives in the age of grid penalties so he actually has to do a fair bit of racing through the pack. Drivers of yesteryear never or at least very rarely started ...

It's bad luck. He had the same package as someone else who didn't retire . I think it's pretty fair to call that unlucky in that instance. Monza, Montreal, Baku and Silverstone are all low downforce circuits and Ferrari wasn’t near Mercedes in any of them. Ultimately, it’s unlikely that a car that takes pole in 15 out of 20 races and is more reliable than its opponent is somehow inferior or even equal. I think that Vettel/Ferrari left...
