Red Bull was in Renault category today.
Look like a solid second behind Ferrari. I'd say 0.6 secs due to chassis/aero and 0.4 due to engine. Newey and co have done a terrible job with the new regs.

Re: 2018 Brazilian Grand Prix Race Thread
Understanding more of the context of the crash, I feel Max is wholey to blame. Ocon was behind Max for a couple of laps, catching at 3 seconds per lap, he gained permission from his team to unlap himself, with this message being relayed to Max. During the overtake, Ocon got in front, and as the tur...

Things people seem to be misunderstanding on the Ocon/Verstappen incident are that: -Ocon had not just been lapped, he had been help up behind Verstappen for 2 laps -Ocon had double checked with the team about unlapping himself and is allowed to do so -Force India say Ocon would have lost around 6 ...

Ocon is allowed to unlap himself and was ahead going into turn 1. Max being on the inside line and then was ahead towards turn 2. At this point Ocon should have then backed out but I think Max should still have been sensible and left more space into turn 2. Backmarker certainly has a right to unlap...

Wins is looking more and more likely now. He's just 20 away and he might race another 5 years for all we know. At his current pace and with the rules relatively stable for two more seasons, he will likely have that by the end of 2020. Podiums is almost a sure thing to be done by 2020. Championships...

RBR are usually a good 0.5 secs in race, and 0.75 secs in quali behind Merc/Ferrari. That'd roughly require a 75bhp net bump from Honda to fill that gap. Impossibruuu.

How do Hamilton fans feel about that result? I'm curious, because I have the feeling that throughout Lewis' career, his fans have been quite vocal about how he doesn't need #1 status and his rivals do. Now that Lewis is clearly being given all the benefits of a Schumacher-like system of driver pref...

If Hamilton had undercut Raikkonen like how Bottas undercut Vettel at China, people would claim that Ferrari made a tactical mistake by not reacting to Mercedes getting ready for a pit stop. The reality of the situation is that Kimi lost the race by not being good enough. Vettel finished only 7 sec...

That's the thing with Alonso.. His teammate performances are always looked at to illustrate the miracles he was/is doing. If we believe that Alonso was/is 6 tenths faster than the guy who was in pole position in Monza just a few days ago, is it fair to say that Fernando would have scored 20+ pole p...

Hamilton is the best rain driver of this decade, but he’s also been quite lucky in recent rain races IMO. Silverstone 2015 - Rosberg was the fastest in the changing condition. A bit too early for Leclrec. As much as I think Raikkonen is passed it, it'd make sense to keep him around next year so Leclerc can mature.

Easily one of the greatest drivers to have driven an F1 car. Should've retired two years ago though. His records don't do him justice, and over time people might forget how good a driver he was.
