Ricciardo starting his Mark Webber redemption arc. He left Red Bull to become the number 1 and returns with the hope of being a number 2.

They seem to be getting into a lot of sporting events quiet easily lately. Makes you wonder just how tough the 'policing' is or if they're just letting them do it for publicity. Don't know how much its to do with police defunding or whether the grassroots of Just Stop Oil is great at finding people...

Re: Red Bull's Checo Conundrum

By the time Massa was against Bottas. Maybe earlier in his career Massa was better. I mean, we saw them in very similarly performing cars and Perez easily beat Massa. That's just what happened. If we compare them via Stroll, Massa in the twilight of his career pummelled him by a similar margin to P...

What lap will we have a red flag/SC for protesters then?
I suspect there will be some dubious policing with the names and faces of anyone who has participated or attend a Just Stop Oil event.

Most will be arrested before lights out for 'breach of the peace' then de-arrested and released.

Re: Red Bull's Checo Conundrum

Checo's qualifying weakness has proved far more costly than Bottas' race pace weakness ever did. I don't even think Checo's race pace advantage over Bottas is actually very big at all. I think the narrative that Bottas and Checo would perform similarly in dominant cars is completely destroyed here. ...

He’s demolished Perez in a way none of his previous teammates ever did (Hulkenberg, Ocon, Button). Ocon did demolish Perez in qualifying in 2018. I make it 16-5 to Ocon. Supporting Perez's qualifying ability is an unusual position given we've seen how immensely costly it has been for him over the l...

Re: Alonso & Verstappen on almost equal stats

That season he had an open goal to break the win record but failed, Verstappen in those circumstances in the W10 probably wins 14 or 15 races. I'm not so sure of that one. We have evidence that Bottas has the ability to match a Perez in Saudi Arabia performance between 2-4 times per season. It was ...

Re: Alonso & Verstappen on almost equal stats

I think in a dominant car he beats Alonso more often than not (remember that a rookie Lewis was a match for 2x WDC Alonso, and I think current Verstappen is a bit better) but a 2012 Ferrari type car would be very interesting. I think the 2007 benchmarked Alonso was some of his worst form in his car...

The silly argument is Ricciardo fell off a cliff at 30 years of age. The silly argument is actually that just because a driver is 30 means they can't possibly fall off a cliff. Alonso should get DSQ, Rosberg gets his first win four years earlier and Hamilton wins the title by 3 points.
