Re: Official 2015/16 Formula E thread

I still think they should go to some tracks like Montreal and Melbourne. Still near cities, but actual tracks. At the moment it would be hard work, especially Montreal, but as the cars develop, it'd be nice. I think tracks will improve as cities give them more space. I can't imagine many cities were...

Re: Formula E

Seen a link between Venturi and Jaques Villeneuve. Please god no. Why not? He's not any worse than most of the failed F1 drivers who populate Formula E, probably better than some. Well, I'm not a fan of Jaques, and I am a fan of Heidfeld and Sarrazin. It's not like he has no talent. Although some o...

Re: Yet another reason to curb the radio chatter..

Bullshit. They've had the same information available since the introduction of radio, why is it a problem now? I don't buy it. It's a scapegoat for much bigger issues. Who said it only became a problem now? And who said it was only a matter of information? Okay, why has it become a big deal now, wh...

Re: Formula E

Your just living the wrong side of London! It's closer to you than me in York, but I don't have to navigate round the M25 or through London to get there. Tbh, the fact an actual race (possibly two) will come to London next year, and I'd pay for less than it would to get the train up to Donington, m...

It may bring people to Amazon Prime though. I imagine they outbid Netflix because they don't need the show, while Amazon does.

Re: Why I am seriously considering turning off F1

The world has changed. It's no longer about who can make the fastest, most expensive, stupidly loud racing car. It's about who can do the race distance fastest while only using so much fuel while not spending too much money. In a post-recession world where fossil fuels are running low, it's the per...

Re: Is anyone else getting a bit frustrated with Rosberg?

Even by Rosberg's standards, yesterday was a terrible performance. Generally he's been much better this year. If he improves as much throughout this year as he did last year, Hamilton will be in trouble. Hamilton won 6 of the last 7 races, and only lost the 7th due to spinning when about to overtak...

Re: Driver(s) of the Day - 2015 Hungarian Grand Prix

Just realised Hulkenberg would likely have been on the podium had his car not annihilated itself. He really is the new Heidfeld. He just needs a beard and I'd be a fan. yeah, but by the same token Kimi would almost definitely have been on the podium if not for his car trouble. True, but Kimi isn't ...

What I read from this:
Soft tire wasn't heated, despite closing in to the crossoff point. Should have pitted him a lap later.
Either misjudged car legnth, or thought he'd have more acceleration out of the slow corner compared to the Red Bull.

Rosberg always comes out lucky of such situations. Without doing nothing he just thrives on the bad/luck/occasional fails of others. So faceless and uninteresting... LH fault though, for his fail at the restart. Fail at start, fail at restart...so nervously wanting to win, he screwed everything. He...
