Re: FORMULA E: Season 5 [Everything's new!]
Ever since I saw the new cars I've been more interested in this upcoming season. I'll be following it a bit more closely than in previous years (which doesn't necessarily mean much, given I've seen *inaudible* all of it up to this point).

Both of them are good men and it's good seeing them show each other respect. Aye, this is the Senna and Prost of this generation and they are showing that they can take the fight to each other, and even cross the line a few times, and still have enough respect for each other to defend what they do ...

Re: Female Racing Drivers
If the issue is mainly lack of funding and not gender, then instead of starting a championship which to me comes across as condescending and patronising to women and just plain gymicky, why not just identify talented young female drivers at the Karting level & sponsor them which will allow them to ...

Re: Female Racing Drivers
I thought most women who are in motorsport wanted to compete against men not just other women so I'm not really sure how this helps them if I am honest, and the prize money seems a very small amount which won't go very far at all to furthering their motorsport career which is what the prize money i...

Re: Which of Schumacher's remaining records will Lewis break
World Titles. I think Hamilton will win eight. He's too close and too young at the moment to retire now without giving it a fair crack. If Mercedes maintain form, and there's no reason to think they won't, this one's his. Wins. I think Hamilton will surpass MSC's 91 in 2020, but possibly late 2019. ...

Re: Battle for being 'Best of the Rest'! (Updated till Suzuk
Renault has really begun to struggle since mid-season, so I expect Haas will overtake them by the season's end. I suspect they switched their focus entirely to 2019 around the time Daniel Ricciardo started showing them interest, which would've been around the period their form began to dip below fou...

71st win for Hamilton. 20 more until he equals Schumacher's record, which seemed nearly impassable when it was set. Lewis has won 20 races since Brazil 2016. At this rate he should do it by 2020. If he wins the rest of the races this year, which is entirely possible, he could conceivably do it next ...

Re: Is there any doubt anymore about Hamilton vs. Vettel?
I expect the caliber of drivers Lewis and Vettel have been paired with has had some impact on the drivers they've turned out to be. Lewis has gone up against, and sometimes lost to, Alonso, Button and Rosberg. All three on their day, especially the first two, can just be the best in the world in the...

I wish Sky's F1 broadcast wasn't so much like Top Gear... eg. Re: Max is Out-Performing Daniel (Believe it or Not)
I predict that Ricciardo is going to lose to the Hulk in qualifying next year. I am not sold on his ability with these current generation of cars. The gap to Verstappen is too often too big. That can only mean that he is leaving too much time on the table too often. I wouldn't be so confident. Ther...

Gauging F1 fan interest levels over 10 years
G'day all F1 has gone down some weird and interesting paths the last few years, with a lot said about how the changes have affected viewer interest. While I still watched every race, I'll concede my interest over 2016 and 2017 did definitely drop to a level where I would tune in on race day to find ...

Re: Kvyat to Toro Rosso?... says Giovanazzi has another seat
Kvyat has done nothing since he was (rightly) dumped by Red Bull to warrant getting another seat in F1. If any STR driver is going to be given another chance, it should hands-down be Jean-Eric Vergne.

Re: Racing incidents, rules & blame for collisions
I couldn't understand why Max wasn't told to concede the position to Bottas after he went over the first corner. He made a mistake under pressure; Valtteri managed to keep it on the track, and wouldn't have hit Verstappen if he'd not taken to the off-road. Yet Verstappen went over the runoff and kep...

Re: 2018 Italian Grand Prix Race Thread
I rarely subscribe to the theories that a driver who was hit while overtaking is partly to blame because if he didn't go for the overtake, the other driver wouldn't have made a mistake and hit him. I don't in this instance. Vettel needs to learn to back out of something once he's been beaten. When i...
