Some trivia: Which was the last F1 Grand Prix to take place on a Saturday? I can't see how this "Saturday" race will increase interest in F1 in the US, since all of its activities will occur after midnight each day (qualifying starts at nearly 3am for east coast viewers). https://www.espn.co.uk/f1/...

Wondering if there's any differentiation between the team owner principal (Tyrrell, Brabham, Dennis, Williams etc) & the team employee principal (Horner, Todt, Briatore)?

The year started badly for Horner, he really doesn’t want his drivers battling for wins, this issue was soon addressed poor driving by Checo or some other reason, who knows. Let’s see what next year brings, one thing’s for sure I don’t see RB dominance going anywhere until we have another rule chan...

Checo who had good pace throughout Q1 & Q2 got real unlucky. Even the RB team waited till eternity to send him out for the final run even when rain was possible anytime. He probably was the only driver that suffered because of Piastri's spin & the yellow flag in S3. However, today is another opport...

I wouldn’t mind this ruling by the stewards if they didn’t imply you could not stop in the pitlane in the first place. Why say now it’s ok?! My guess is that the rationale is that in Singapore, Verstappen should have been penalised because there was no need for him to stop at the end of the pit lan...

Had the feeling for years that the team knows how to build, or copy, a car, but they've no idea how to develop a car.

Re: 2023 Mexican Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Thread
Verstappen has a valid point that now that there is a minimum lap time, only way to create a gap to next car is to do it by going slow on pit exit. So he may not get a penalty if they can show that he only slowed down just enough to crate a gap to the next car. This is basically moving the build up...

Things change. Older "traditional" fans die off, you have to replace them if you want to continue. I was reading that the philosophy is of continuing to find new fans to replace old fans, that even means that fans found today may need replacing by new fans in 10 years time. When you have something ...

In the world at large we have both "leaders" and "followers". Each is valuable, and without both, nothing good happens. Normally, I'd agree with you. But every F1 driver is theoretically a leader; their goal is to win for themselves, not support anyone else. A driver reduced to supporting their tea...
