Re: Female Racing Drivers
Jamie Chadwick has 25 super license points (10 from Asian F3 2020 & 15 from W Series 2021), this meets the threshold reuirement for F1 GP Friday practice sessions. As a WGPE development driver she has already logged hundreds of hours in the simulator and attended several GP weekends so knows the ca...

Re: 2021 Brazilian Grand Prix FP & Sprint Qualy/Race Thread
Hate that these engine penalties are distorting what should be a classic championship run in. Why didn't they just give everyone one more set of all the bits. With a budget cap is it even reasonable to keep restricting engines? Verstappen should treat Hamilton's car like the hind legs of a donkey i...

Good idea about the reserve driver sprint race, but they better have plenty of spare parts available at the track! I'm sure he said reverse sprint race? I think that this was in response to Dolomite's post: If they want "action" on a Saturday and Qualy isn't sufficient, the only acceptable option f...

Blimey, I seemed to have poked the bear right where it hurts, even if my tongue was in my cheek :-P Still and all, of those defending the mini male psyche, maybe a few hours watching video of junior formula might provide fodder for a less wokist response. Re: 2021 Russian Grand Prix Race Thread
I'm amazed Norris got away with his pit lane entry, surely that is a black and white thing. The race was weirdly absorbing for 46 laps despite not much happening. The end of the race was carnage. Disappointing for Norris, whose inexperience showed, but McLaren should have ordered him in although it...

Re: Should Verstappen Start?
What an odd thread. We knew since the start that he’d be at the back of the grid so why anyone, let alone the stewards, would think he should go out and set an arbitrary lap time for no reason is beyond me. It’s common sense, he’d just be getting in the way of his competitors in what are already cha...

Why on earth are they starting the F2 race behind the SC? It's dry. It would have been a bit of a farce with the difference in grip between those on the dry line and those off it. Also quite dangerous with all the cars on the damp pulling across immediately onto the dry line, right in front of the ...

Piastri looking really good. Finally he has a race win under his belt, to go with his demonstrated consistency. Looks like Zhou's 30 mil euros will get him to F1 first though Piastri being F3 Champ last year, if he then is F2 Champ, its so disappointing a young talent has to sit out a year in 2022....

Re: Hamilton/Verstappen Italian GP 2021 Collision Discussion / Poll
Aside from the blame in all of this, I’m not entirely sure the halo helped Lewis there. Watching that slow-mo again, the back of Max’s car slides up over the air box of the Merc but then Max’s floor gets caught on Lewis’ halo, with so much force that it breaks, and that seems to trap the wheel on to...

Whatever people want to say about the incident. The worst thing is Max going on about sportsmanship after Silverstone and then having that incident and not even checking Lewis was okay. Yeah. They aren’t comparable situations. Yes, there is a big ethical question over peoples lifestyle choices and the impact they have on the NHS but this is a different, more straightforward, binary issue. Forcing people to get the vaccine is a bad move, no question. Peer pressure would like take care of a good chunk of those not wanting the vaccine, and a natural herd immunity would most likely take care of the rest. But beyond the medical argument, there's the social ones. Taking away civil liberti...

Being agnostic is only valid if there is insufficient evidence to form an opinion either way, which is obviously not the case here.
Brazil and India both failed to lock down, both had horrendous Covid fatality rates. Many of them completely slipped through official records, no doubt.
