Re: Congrats Vettel on his 4th WDC
That image of Vettel kneeling and bowing to his Red Bull through the tyre smoke and haze in India should be THE image of this era of F1 racing. It had an artist quality. I'm definitely NOT a Vettel fan but I must admit I liked that gesture. It showed an appreciation of the kind of machine he has bee...

Re: Moto gp - Phillip Island Grand Prix thread
I think it's on BT Sport next year. I guess the BBC don't choose the camera angles, but I got really annoyed with the director solely focusing on the leading trio/duo when there was a great battle going on with Rossi/Crutchlow/Bautista. Hardly saw any of that. Rubbish. Agree that the whole thing was...

How we use those term or understand those terms is up to us. I think people should focus more on the point connected than the supposed isms attached. No, it gets to the mentality involved. People reference hip hop and rap as slights as a mask for racial bias. You might think that a reach, but any b...

Re: Hayden out at Ducati - who'll get his ride?
I'm starting to think that Cal's move to Ducati could be quite well timed. Audi acquired Ducati in the middle of last year so I doubt that changes they implemented back then would have had much impact on the bike that is now being ridden by Dovi and Hayden. It was too soon. The 2013 bike was probabl...

Re: Hayden out at Ducati - who'll get his ride?
I find all this talk of Cal "selling out to Ducati" quite annoying. He's a MotoGP rider. How long do you think that kind of job can last? If I was offered the chance of a vastly improved salary still doing the same job, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Yamaha have already said to him that a works seat is...

To really spice up this championship I'd love to see both Mercs and Webber on the podium and a Vettel retirement. That would set the scene for a great end to the season.

On a serious note, perhaps in the future, when medical technology allows blind people to see with the aid of cameras and nerve impulses then this type of helmet could become a reality.

I reckon he'll just be out for this weekend. The surgeon will pin his collarbone together this weekend and he'll be back for the next race. Doesn't at all mean that Pedrosa has got the championship sewn up (pun unintended). Lorenzo is nothing if not consistent.

That was a very lucky escape for Marquez - to crash at that speed and not be seriously hurt. Painful one for Bradley Smith too. It looked like his hand got trapped under his bike after he high-sided. Anyone looking forward to the Italian MotoGP at Mugello this weekend? I really like the track and I'm hoping that the factory Yamahas can be a bit more competitive against the Hondas this weekend. For me Crutchlow is the class of the field after the top three Spaniards. But it looks increasingly like Yamaha have lined up Espargaro for his ride in 2014, anyone know why? It could be an exciting race today. The track looks like it's a bit more suited to the Yamahas than Austin was. Lorenzo looks very strong as usual. And with Crutchlow looking promising in qualifying (until he crashed) and getting 4th, hopefully we'll see him and Rossi pressing hard on the Hondas.

I've been thinking about DRS recently - when it was introduced I thought it was a fairly simple and effective way to spice up races. Now I getting a little tired of it.
