The driver lineup actually looks pretty good, especially if you want to attract casual F1 watchers. Names like Bruno Senna, Liuzzi, di Grassi, Alguersuari, Sato, Karthikeyan, Chandhok and Klien could be familiar to those who've watched F1. Granted none of them are big names but still, it'll be good...

I don't normally have much interest in F1 clothes but Toby's post just reminded me I saw Massa wearing a really cool Williams cap at Jerez. I had a look at some online stores but couldn't find it. I took a blind 'gut' guess of Hamilton. Simply because when he came to Merc last year, we all had fairly low expectations and he was a hell of a lot better than I expected. Given how quickly he settled in and started delivering, I'd expect him to do the same this year. That plus the Merc looking ver...

Pretty pointless buying it now. They really gherkin me off with this. Last year it came out a week after Christmas. Surely it would make sense to have it ready FOR christmas.
Either way, if its anything like last years, dont bother just watch Sky's hour long version on youtube.

I can only imagine this if a manufacturer comes by and buys them for the engine building experience. The only plausible ones are Hyundai and Ford, maybe GM as well, other big players are either in the sport, left recently or have the necessary experience in house, e.g. from building Le Mans engines...

Cosworth will be back. It's not the first time they've left the sport, and it wont be the last. F1 in it's current state wont last forever. "Promo days" need to be 'fixed'. I.e 2 days pre-season where ALL teams have the option of taking part in that 2 day run. Then 2 days mid-summer.
It's way too easy for teams to pass off these 'filming days' and using them for testing.

Reliability could be a huge factor. In a lot of ways it'll be the only factor. Whatever happens, at the end of the year we'll get the usual round of reasoning and excuses as to why X driver did well, and Y driver didn't. More so with so many changes. Bernie might be on to something there. This year is very much a year for a 'thinking' driver, I rate Vettel, Rosberg and Alonso highly then. Lewis is very quick but I rate him less of a (strategic) thinker and less adaptable too. Outside chance for Button if the McLaren is good and to his liking fr...

Here's where the FIA need to change the rules - 50km max (31 miles) and the show tyres should essentially be rock solid rubber, that dont give a performance boost after they are scrubbed. I can see F1 returning to free-to-air TV in the UK by about 2017. The noise level needed to be cut IMO, it had reached the point where damaged hearing is pretty much normal in the pitlane.
