Re: Rosberg was not low on fuel

The only real problem i see here is the interference from the pit. I figure Brawn sees it as: Hamilton fought for that position and Rosberg shouldn't be given the 3rd place just because Hamilton was out of fuel. Tough luck man! does the fact that Ross Brawn and Toto say that both cars needed to sav...

Re: Lewis is Mercedes team leader

Let me start by saying that I was once an avid supporter of the "Let them fight" philosophy. I believed that all racers should be allowed to compete for themselves until such time as they are mathematically eliminated from competition. I have come to develop a far greater perspective on racing howe...

HAHAHAHAHAHA I forgot about that! Was going through old Montoya videos this week, I'll never forget when he hits the cameraman or "F***ing f***ing Raikkonen! What a f***ing idiot." One could only imagine what would have happened had it been Montoya in Webber's seat on Sunday.... An amazing fistfigh...

Re: Angry-looking Lewis Hamilton

Believe it or not I think Lewis was more angry that Rosberg outpaced him during the race. He still isn't dialed into the car yet, and he the one thing he hates is winning by gifts. Lewis does not have a handle on some of the particular characteristics of the car (as in Aus and Mal, Nico was killing...

Re: Lewis is Mercedes team leader

At the end of the day, we don't know why these team orders were issued. Nico clearly doesn't think Lewis has No. 1 status and, if the comments reported by Lewis are true, neither does Lewis. It could well be that Merc have a 'no overtaking after final pitstops' policy and decided to enforce it, eve...

-> Webber will win a couple of races to show Vettel, after that RBR will come back to push for Vettel, destroy Webber' KERS routine. -> Mercedes will always keep Hamilton in front of Rosberg if he happens to be at the front after their final pit-stop, of course next race I'm betting all my savings ...

I have never been a fan of Rosberg, I have always found him bland and anonymous. Today has probably been the first time since his debut I've remembered how he did in a race. Hope he can keep this level of performance up. Provided Ross Brawn doesn't keep him down! :uhoh: :uhoh: yes Ross decided to s...

Does anyone else think that's this was Mercs way of sticking it to McLaren? First of if you want a WDC you need to back one driver. Sometimes to gain a WDC driver in your team you have to agree to him been #1. However we have no idea yet if lewis is #1 , its possible, but we dont know. I think thaht question got answered today - yes, Lewis is #1 in Mercedes. so if Lewis ge...

They certainly didn't put too little fuel in by mistake. It was a calculated risk. If Hamilton and his engineers were willing to risk short-fueling for those extra tenths per lap, they should obviously bare the negative consequences of that risk as well as the rewards. It's completely unsportsmanli...

I'm not basing it on what I heard myself during the race though. I'm basing it on the fact that Rosberg wanted repeatedly to pass Hamilton which means that at no point did anyone tell him to conserve fuel. So because Rosberg didn't hear it, possibly it wasn't said. Not during the race and not to hi...

I don't disagree with Ross saying they don't want an incident, and they're controlling the pace for both drivers. Fair enough. The tyres are to weak for F1. It's a shame, Pirelli seems not to be able to produce tyres wich are up to the challenge. Tyres wich break away during racing are not up to the standard of F1 Tyres have always done that. Nothing new. The year we had durable tyres, 2005, there was next to no overtaking...
