Yes, one of my favourite countries, but they are artists and designers, great for beauty but not required for speed and agility.
I suggest you come out of your stereotyped world or risk others judging you the same way.

Re: What makes Britain the cradle of Formula One?

It's a relatively recent thing, when considering the history of motor racing from the beginning. It started in the early sixties... Before, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Ferrari, Mercedes, Bugatti, Talbot etc. were all located in their native country. At the end of the 50's, early 60's most of the construc...

Re: Why Did Ron DENNIS leave F1

In 10 years time McLaren will be making more money from their roadcar enterprise than from F1. I honestly believe thats why he's re-structured the business the way he has, so that he can make sure the road car business is set up to succeed. Prevously, every time they'd done a roadcar project the F1...

Re: F1 quiz thread

This is a tough one. Would have been Mansell if he had not made his comeback in 1995 with McLaren... I can't think of anybody who achieved this in the 1970s or since, so my guess is that the answer is from the 1950s or 1960s, but I can't say who for sure without checking on Wikipedia.... I would gu...

I enjoy the fact that because he didn't beat Hamilton, Lewis cut the corner to gain an advantage, as well as there being supposed worn parts on the car. People shouldn't get worked up/disappointed about Top Gear Test Track times. Barrichello has the record, for crying out loud! not the first time l...

Real Racing 2 on iPad and Mac are great. Simulation, and a very nice career and multiplayer mode too.

I sit across the room with my iPad, my brother on the Mac, and we play wirelessly for ages, and we are very competitive, so it's a lot of fun. :]

Re: Fifty Years of the Beatles poll

I'll go different here and say "Rubber Soul", chiefly because of "In My Life".

I knew it was special when I heard just the first 5 seconds. Musically, it may not be anything special, but the simple intro of "In My Life" has always "connected" with me. :)

Well i've most of the race footage for Schumacher years. He was someone who's the legend from my lifetime... I'm born in '81, started following/ watching F1 mid 90's(with gaps) and more astutely from '97 end. All i can say is, if you've not watched those races, try and get your paws on it, and you'...

When I slipstream while walking behind someone to gain on them.

When I overtake them too fast(while walking, yes) and get a little unbalanced, I use opposite lock on my feet.

Re: Redbull pull a fast one...shipping in NEW car

It is quite normal in an F1 team to have a second design to go to if it turns out to be quicker than the first. Though the first design is priority and often teams have no need to go to the next design but this is F1 and the overall design of the car, which includes even the small details can make ...

Re: F1 without Ferrari: how would it be?

I'm a hardcore Ferrari fan, and became an F1 fan because of following Ferrari. Obviously, if they left, F1 would miss them, but I'd still follow it. Eventually some other team would become such a legend. I'm sure when Mercedes left motorsports in the 50s at the height of their dominance, people woul...

Re: why stepped nose is better than a smooth nose?

On a side note, if Mclaren drivers do sit lower than other drivers (and F1 cars are very low as it is), won't that compromise visibility, specially of front wings even more?

I think this, plus Hamilton's erratic driving last year, might have have caused his many collisions.

13. Alonso is a driven, relentless guy, whether he has a strong car, or weak. He is more like Senna than Hamilton can ever aspire to be, who seems more like Mansell to me.
