Re: Are driver's in today's f1 overpaid?
- part of it is commercial value - part of it is driver performance - part of it is luring a driver away from another team or winning a bidding war against other teams - part of it is making sure a great driver doesn't go drive for another team and becomes a competitor you wouldn't want to have The...

It's interesting to see that Lewis wants differing strategies but i'd bet my bottom dollar that if the shoe was on the other foot and it was Nico in his position that he'd cry foul that the strategy favoured the car in 2nd place. Not trying to defend Raikkonen on the Sochi incident, but it always intrigues me that if somebody tries a move like that it's labelled a spectacular overtake, but if you hit, the driver is slammed for a stupid move, even if the spectacular overtake only JUST gets pulled off.

The best available and experienced enough drivers for those seats are Ricciardo and Perez I consider both Hulkemberg and Bottas a tad below those 2, let alone Grossjean, who I see as the weakest of that 5 options Perez and Hulkenberg are hard to pick between! Perhaps RBR are just charming them to ensure getting a 2016 engine and still save face i.e. not crawl back to Renault. I think RBR is just desperate, quite frankly. McLaren is going to veto any Honda deal that involves another top team; Red Bull's only option is to make amends with Renault. This is...

I reckon Honda have until the end of next year to work it out or McLaren will start shopping elsewhere.
Also, I have a feeling Mercedes probably wouldn't supply them again, If McLaren were to change suppliers, my money would be on Renault.

I like the team radio, gives you greater insight into the race and also the drivers feeling and emotion, brings more immersion!
Plus, even with all the radio chatter, the driver still has to deliver, it's not like the pit wall can actually drive the car!
