Re: FIA requested by Stewards to review Bizarre F3 Crash?

All of us are partially blind in both eyes, but we go through life without being aware of it. The area we cannot see is an oval shaped area to the right of where we are looking with our right eye and to the left of where we are looking with our left eye. Your brain fills in the area you cannot see ...

Re: FIA requested by Stewards to review Bizarre F3 Crash?

This incident reminds me of the 1994 Imola race at which Senna died. The start was botched by Pedro Lamy running up the back of a stalled JJ Lehto. Lamy, qualified 22 (11th row), had all the time in the world to miss 5th place (3rd row) qualifier Lehto, but didn't. I believe a spectator in the upper...

Re: Boring races? People have short memories...

Boring is a relative term. If you think today's racing is boring, perhaps some of you will remember Jackie Stewart's 2-lap victory over Bruce McLaren at the 1969 Spanish GP. Or for you kiddies, the 2-lap margin by Damon Hill over Olivier Panis at the 1995 Australian GP. Many of these older races wer...

Re: Anyone in US have trouble watching the race

If you have WIFI available, pick-up a older model (2017) or new ROKU streaming stick. I've thrown out 3 cable set top boxes and gotten these as replacements. The ROKU has access to ALL the ESPN channels (ESPN3, ESPNEWS, ESPN2), which carry all the live practice sessions, Qualificaiton, and the Race,...

Schumacher double in current Chase commercial?

This TV ad here in the US really creeps me out... I see Michael Schumacher in the first 2 seconds and in other shots. I know it's not him, and I know the resemblance is purely coincidental. But I thought I would ask if others see the resemblence...

Well, it will put paid to Alonso's F1 career... He'll have a helmet so big that it will not fit through the halo.

So, today, Alonso tells Nate Saunders, "(he) rates himself as one of the best drivers to have ever graced the Formula One grid." Well, he gets a 10.5 rating for selfishness, and an 11 for arrogance, in my book. His inflated opinion of himself is bested only by the current American President. Alonso'...

Are F1 drivers paid too much? Yes they are. But the teams are paid too much, too. The sanctioning body and the promoters take too much, too. It's the whole package. Everyone is paid too much. The result? The price of a Formula One ticket is beyond insane. Normal families of five don't go to F1 races...

Nothing but sour grapes from Hamilton and Alonso. Never heard them complain when they won at Monaco in the past. Hamilton has won dozens of boring races like Spain 2018 which was worse than Monaco IMO. Completely agreed. I enjoyed the race an further enjoyed how Ricciardo managed his car. Had Senna...

Rosberg is retired, Bottas isn't. So obviously Bottas is the better talent.

Remember, in F1 you're only as good as your last performance. If Enzo were still alive, he would put everyone straight on this.

SC too slow? Well, I thought that was the idea behind a safety car.

The drivers can belly ache about other things. But the SC is there to slow and control the pace of the field when needed, and all trailing cars are treated the same. So deal with it.

Basically they set a precedent, that you can knock another car out and get away with just a 10 second penalty. Such scenario could come in handy many times, especially when a championship is on the line later on. Back in the 60's-70's, you didn't dare knock out another car, because it could mean yo...

Not a fan of the 10-second penalty. It's a real penalty when enforced during a pit stop... 10-seconds added to the length of the stop itself. Much less a penalty when added as time at the end of a race. Verstappen's 10-second penalty in China amounted to an inconvenience, more than a penalty, as he ...
