Re: So... who replaces Lewis at Mercedes?

Considering that James Vowles has publicly clarified (for the express purpose of dispelling rumors about Mercedes) that Albon is contracted through 2025, I think we can assume Albon is not actually an option, whether or not Mercedes would pick him. That said, I still have a hard time seeing a case f...

Re: So... who replaces Lewis at Mercedes?

Surely Alonso is too old for Merc to think about him for 2025 and beyond. Yes he's still near his best, but I'd be amazed if can stay there for much longer. Merc tend to think long term, and with Russell bedded in I think it may be whichever of the Mclaren duo Norris/Piastri does best this year who...

Norris - look at Hamilton: he is a racer! While commendable, let us not forget that when Lewis had a championship winning car he wanted to keep Bottas as his wingman (oops, teammate). This last roll of the dice for him is not a comparable situation to Norris, who is closer to the start of his...

If Red Bull can scoop up any kind of real talent from another team, the team might try its hand at that given that Verstappen can do almost all the scoring by himself if the car is fast enough. So that would presently be Piastri. For Red Bull, the constructors is more of a bonus element anyway, nic...

That comes across as Hamilton being more of a poser than a serious racing driver, he's going to Ferrari to try and win his 8th title. Why do you make it sound like a bad thing ? Very likely that he has given up on 8th. RB almost sure to win next 2, and by 2026, he will be just too old. So then, mak...

Either some people genuinely do believe it, or they're very stubborn about making it look that way.

I'm in agreement with the consensus. Alonso will have an easy victory over Stroll, and I expect Gasly to show second-year improvement and be the faster Alpine the majority of the time (maybe 65-35, nothing crushing).
