Re: 2017 Bahrain Grand Prix Race Thread
If they "manage" Bottas, surely he could drive the car to a victory? I mean, if they tell him the optimum settings lap by lap he can hang on to the car and stay in front? I was going to say I thought Bottas could win his fourth race for Mercedes but I have a feeling he could do it today. Historicall...

Re: Evolution of F1 lap times since 1996
Still, I like a good graph. I wonder if a graph of speeds rather than times would give any more visual information? I struggled at first trying to understand that more was slower/longer. Do you know the total distance for all the circuits in each year?

This would be even more interesting going back to the run up to 1995 and the effects of Senna's accident on the authorities attempting to slow the cars. Run up to the end of the last turbo era would also be interesting.

Well, I was half asleep for some of quali and totally asleep for most of it but I thought I heard one expert saying that an understeery car was the slowest way around and that the best drivers always got more out of a car that was pointy and on the limit of oversteer power sliding slip.

It's a waste of a channel. There isn't enough content on it. I'm of the opinion that anyone watching that channel would also have an interest in MotoGP, LMP, Touring Cars, Indy Cars, Nascar, WRC, etc..... it would be worth Sky investing. On that note, who has got the Indy 500 this year? I presume F...

I was trying to work out what's going on in the dashboard display of Bottas' steering wheel during his pole position lap. He only changes the brake bias twice - from 55 to 59 and back again. I seem to remember Rosberg making a change between every pair of corners. Is this giving Valteri less to do a...

I can't take anything Toto says seriously, Pascal may well be on Hamiltons pace but he has just had a situation far worse than Alonso Vs Hamilton in 2007 and he was happy for that to continue. All team can't just dump a driver. They have to pay out his contract or negotiate a settlement if the driver wants to be released so he can go somewhere else. They can't just void the contract which is effectively what Rosberg has done. This was surely done by mutual agreement. Strictly speaking, M...

I'm not sure why you're making what I said into something else. His contract stipulates that they must discuss it with him. A late SC could produce mayhem, with everybody pitting for...

Isn't this an idea that Bernie seriously proposed a few years back? It was panned then and I think it's still just as ridiculous now.
F1 has such a problem with rain affected races, they should be finding ways to drain and dry the track, not how to wet it.
