Re: Is Vettel's rep gone for good?
Vettel was complaining all the way through the race and couldn't find the sweet spot with his setup. When he did he banged in some very quick laps and pulled off some excellent overtakes, so clearly it was a setup / handling issue rather than him simply being slow. It's sad how some people are so s...

Re: Is Vettel's rep gone for good?

Re: Is Vettel's rep gone for good?
What bugs me about this thread at times is that there's plenty of legitimate ammunition - facts, if you will - to use in criticizing Vettel's performance this season without resorting to hyperbole and exaggeration, but people still trot 'em out. Finishing 7th in the 3rd quickest car? It's only one ...

Hamilton. Close between him and Ricciardo but ultimately the deciding factor for me was Ricciardo had a poor start, while Hamilton had a flawless race. Ricciardo you know is guaranteed a poor start. Re: Best qualifier in F1?
Last year i would have said Hamilton. But Rosberg is beating him this year. Is it because Hamilton is compromising his qualy set up slightly for more race pace? Then overdriving the car making a few mistakes in the process? I still think over a single lap Hamilton has more pace.

Re: Driver of the 2014 US Grand Prix
Ricciardo on the other hand in the first stint on used tyres was a good 2 seconds quicker than Vettel's pace who had new tyres. Incredible incredible to crush your team mate like this. He then pushed at the right moment to get past Bottas for the undercut. Then kept close to Massa and pushed again ...

Re: Is Lewis going to race or bring it home now?
Wouldn't it be smarter to do what Vettel did. Change everything and start from the pitt lane? With the merc pace he would easily cruise to 2nd in brazil. Then could win or even cruise to 2nd in Abhu Dhabi and still win the championship? Maybe, but Vettel didn’t have much choice. RBR said he would n...

Hamilton was a close second but his pace throughout the race was a fraction up on Rosbergs. Plus he had the fastest car by far so he put the car where it belonged. Very solid drive though and got the win. Ricciardo on the other hand in the first stint on used tyres was a good 2 seconds quicker than ...

"Alonso is made to look good by a poor Fisichella/Massa/Kimi." Funny how some people suddenly decided that these drivers became crap as soon as they partnered Alonso. I remember this also. They had a very fast car the year before then all of a sudden the car was nowhere. Maybe they made a few changes going in the wrong direction then corrected the mistakes and went back in the right direction. As it was a very quick turnaround.

Vettel struggled a bit on the primes. He should have been much quicker than Dan in the final stint considering his tyres were 19 laps younger. Race pace was very poor. But we saw the exact same thing from Ricciardo everytime he qualified very high up. He could never hold the position due to burning up tyres in qualifying and the cars very poor race pace and would end up alot further back where Vergne was.

Can't pick Rosberg when he made a mistake that big on lap 1 again. He really needs to learn you can't win the race at the first turn but you can certainly lose it and today he lost it. Hamilton didn't make a mistake all weekend. Has to go to him. The title is his. Exactly my thoughts. Wel...
