Re: Something is just not right with F1.
Enough with the Marussia crap. He had just pitted a lap earlier and Vettel was on his last lap of his stint. Tires wear. Geez. And again, ferrari just showed you DO NOT have to nurse the tires. Alonso was brutal on them. There was not one lap where be wasn't pushing. Does Ferrari have some magic tir...

Re: Something is just not right with F1.
Lots of rose tinted glassed in here. Too little passing. Add DRS and now passing has no skill associated. Tires too soft but when they aren't you have insanely calculated races with the winner only racing towards a stop watch and the exact laps before you pit. You know exactly how fast the tires fal...

Re: Paul Di Resta
Sutil gained 5 spots in the first lap. DiR was no where near as fast today. The luck just literally to be sitting on his shoulders. A wheel nut issue AGAIN for Sutil, if it wasnt for that I think we would of seen two FI inside the top 10 for sure.

Re: Favorite and least favorite Tilkedrome?
I, as well, dont consider Austin a Tilke design. He merely implemented what the other guys had laid out. I think this will likely become one of the better tracks in recent history. Turn 1 will likely go down as one of the most famous turns in racing when all is said and done. Plus, the track has 5 p...

I really like the red/black/white of the Marussia. Its a shame that they arent faster but the livery looks awesome. Simple yet engaging.

Re: Does the DRS malfunction raise questions?
I think the weird thing about the failure is that the onboard shot showed the wing opened even farther when it was supposed to shut.
How many other DRS failures have we seen? I think there was a hydraulic leak last year but I cant remember specifically.

If Sutil would have some luck the FI team would likely be battling for 4th in the WCC. The car is really fast on the faster tracks. Just need a tad more downforce for the curvy bits. Great race from Di Resta today but just a bit off sync so he literally had to let Grosjean by. Barcelona as a track ...

Re: Paul Di Resta worthy of a better car?
Di Resta is invisible. He shouldn't be in F1 at all. Then neither should his teammate who he currently has 3 times the points of. Or the 13 other drivers beneath him in the standings. Yet, he has had one DNF thanks to an overactive youngster and an iffy move by Massa to force him off track that res...

Re: DRS do we need it?
I think we might need a larger time gap like 1.5 seconds and a shorter activation window then once you get past the driver your DRS slot closes. Having drivers get past someone before the zone and then allowing them to still use the DRS is a weird quirk as well.

I don't think the news people truly think that that 1 American life is worth more than 15 Iraqi lives, however that is the consequence of their actions. Red Bull were faster than the Merc (P3) in Australia by 0.6s and 0.9s faster than P2 in Malaysia. What prevented them from dominating were their issues (faster deg compared to the others). Now, doesn't anyone fear that the new tyres could potentially shift the power and RBR to end up with a dominan...

I think most of the problem stems from hearing about the blasts in Iraq for almost ten years. We have become numb to the number of deaths over there. Its sad but quite true.

Giedo has been pitiful. Has there been one session where he hasnt gone of the track yet?
Marrusia wasnt too far being Caterham last year without KERS, now they have it and they basically leapfrog them rather easily.

They wont be one stops. Itll be impossible as the delta from good to old tires would be huge. The facts are the tires just arent lasting long enough for ALL the teams. Five place grid penalty is very light for ruining another drivers race. Three spots for Webber is also a little co...
