Re: Hamilton and Hakkinen missing from McLaren's heritage?
The only thing I can think is that they don't want to 'promote' drivers from other teams. Doesn't Hakkinen have some arrangement with Merc to enter occasional endurance sportscar races? Prost and Lauda both have roles with competitors but not as drivers. Still seems a bit unlikely but it can't be c...

Whatever Mclaren is going to stay with Mercedes for at least 3 more years, according to Whitmarsh. Re: Have Merc sorted out their tyre issues ?
I wonder how the Merc being OK on the tyres in cold temperatures would relate to hot race weekends. If you get a tyre to work well in cold temperatures where they aren't meant to be working well, could that mean you could put too much heat in them on hot race weekends? Wasn't the Merc good on tyres...

Re: McLaren to switch to Honda Engines for 2015 (rumour)
Just a passing thought, or maybe for others to elaborate on. Is the engine freeze carried over? Merc would have to 'type' their engine from the start, anyone coming in a year late fix from their own start. One year to develop the rolling car and see what gives before fixing the engine? Engines are ...

Mercedes won't be happy if this is true. Honda get to have a good look at their engine for a year while fine tuning their own. That merc is almost as fast as the EBD cars of 2010. Just proves, keep the regs steady for just 1 year and these teams will make car faster.
