I certainly hope that the OP is right but my experience tells me that there will still be cars that are better than the others. The best we can hope for is that there are 2 or 3 teams with cars that are roughly on par with each other instead of one team setting the pole in every single race.

Last time I checked, SD is not the technical director. He doesn't design the cars. They definitely might need some new technical leadership but the team principal has done a decent job in my opinion.
