Re: Poll: Was Vettel's penalty the right decision?

Yes, it was the correct decision.

Any sympathy I had for Vettel disappeared when he lied during the Lauda interview when he claimed nobody had complained about the pass when you could hear Button discussing it with him before they went onto the podium telling him the FIA were looking into the pass.

Re: Vettel's ilegal overtake, 20 seconds penalty

Where was Vettel supposed to go? Button saw Vettel was off the track and still didn't give Vettel room to rejoin. If there was a giant wall marking the track boundaries, Button would've smashed Vettel into the wall. But we all know the FIA look for any reason to punish Vettel/Red Bull Vettel was su...

Re: Worst Ever Stewarding Decisions/Penalties?

the hamilton/raikkonen spa thing was a joke. they were right to punish hamilton imo. but it should have been dealt with immediately and not hours later. complete farce. No they were not right to punish Hamilton - they basically modified a rule post-penalty to justify the penalty - this was the joke.

Only Maldonado himself knows whether he has deliberately driven into anyone or not but the problem is more than one of his crashes do look like they were done deliberately - this is not something you even consider when you look at the vast majority of accidents. Lewis is, and has always been the best wheel to wheel attacker/defender on the track. No one is close to his talent in that respect. Alonso is a very good defensive driver, so you knew that this battle was going to be a good one. Maldonado is from the school of bumper cars, so learn he wont. Wow, a...

I don't think it's too bad to be honest - it used to be a lot worse. It's just phases - when Hamilton first started, for example, it went nuclear sometimes on here. My $.02: Technically speaking (and by that, I mean the rulebook), Hamilton did nothing wrong and is not at fault. Racecraft-wise, though, he should not have put up as much of a fight as he did. Whitmarsh speaks sense. Hamilton threw away valuable points. Not what he was inferring - he was saying Hamilton did nothing different whilst racing three different drivers and two passed without incident and the third took him out - that's blaming Maldonado to me not Hamilton. The day a racing driv...

Absolutely not he wasn't doing anything wrong it was almost the last lap. Hamilton was easy pickings for Maldonado just not where he tried to pass. A bit harsh to ban him but if he does this kind of thing again then they need to come down a bit harder than they have - he deliberately drove into another car rejoining the track recklessly - that is disgraceful for a driver in the premier motor sport series. It's also a bit harsh to compare Lewis ...

Just a racing incident the on-board from Grosjean clearly shows he was as much a victim of squeezing as Schumacher was but Alonso had every right to go for the gap as well.
