Only if it was to go to Merc or RBR. Nowhere else is as likely to give him wins. After next year, when he will have a comparison between Ferrari and Mclaren, then it may be worth considering. But is 2016 too little too late? He'll be 34/35 that year and has probably began his decay of pace now. I d...

Re: Alonso. Should he consider leaving Ferrari.

I think he's learned in F1 now that you cannot be conservative in this sport. I'd pick Mclaren Honda presuming Mercedes keep their drivers. Honda can copy Mercedes' engine with the split turbo and maybe can make a breakthrough. Ferrari is going nowhere.

Re: Ferrari

I don't see how Ross Brawn would make much of an impact for Ferrari. And, anyways, they're not going to demote Mattiaci after just a few races. Ferrari need to concentrate on their engine and aero. Their strategy in the race and their drivers are both top notch.

Re: Interesting statistics about Alonso

The reason Alonso got beat by Hamilton in 2007 was simple: Alonso was hired on at a huge salary as the reigning WDC (and this was right). He had beaten Michael Schumacher, who was at that time acknowledged as the best driver in 2006 in a close fight in equal or near equal equipment. The only person...

I thought they did not run their upgrades in the race, only in practise? As for Silverstone, I'm just hoping that one of these tracks will be similar to China.I think that Silverstone seems to be similar to China - a few long straights and high downforce turns, some low speed ones; basically a balan...

Re: An idea to encourage wheel-to-wheel racing on a circuit!

I was thinking of something like the Karussel bend but have an inside line that's flat and have that sort of camber around the outside. It's a very good example of what I'm looking for, although I wouldn't want the inside driver to get both the camber and the apex as it would even be harder to get t...

An idea to encourage wheel-to-wheel racing on a circuit!

I know I'm probably going to get slated and abused for this, but here it goes! Take any relatively high speed corner. We'll use the last corner at Bahrain as an example. With this turn, we often would see drivers being side by side into the turn, but one driver has to yield. How about we re-model th...

Germany missed Hummels alot against Algeria. If hummels returns then they need to shift boateng out to RB and Lahm into LB. The Germans look weak at the back but arguably still look the strongest in defence other than Belgium. It is as if all the managers come together and said 'defending, lets give that a miss and make this a great tournament' the lack of defensive quality is certainly adding to the tournament. Colombi...

Oh yeah, get rid of the challenging race tracks with history and gravel traps and put in a circuit in the middle of a desert with nothing special at all. Yes, Bernie may be playing games, but go play games with Bahrain or Korea.

Seriously, will William's be in contention for a win at Silverstone? I don't think so. I doubt it very much considering Austin was a low downforce circuit with long straights. I guess the only thing that's good about this is that the laps aren't wasted while waiting on grid.
