Re: Fire Martin Whitmarsh please!

When has Martin Whitmarsh won anything as team boss? Ron Dennis was team principal at Mclaren until 2009.

Re: Fire Martin Whitmarsh please!

Has Mclaren made a lot more errors than Mercedes this year? Gearbox failure, wheel not being bolted on correctly, not sending drivers out for quali. Maybe Ross Brawn should be fired? Drivers Championships Won Ross Brawn = 8 Martin Whitmarsh = 0 Constructors Championships Won Ross Brawn = 9 Martin W...

Re: Fire Martin Whitmarsh please!

Well on this board I have been a Webber Fanboi, an Alonso Fanboi, a Lewis Fanboi and a Button Fanboi. I reckon thats fairly well balanced . I just don't see at cutting off the head when it's the hands that are injured. MW brought in Michaels who was supposed fix all this fairy cakes. Re: Hamilton stopping on the track - Excluded from qualifyin

Rules are rules...Mclaren broke them today, and the drivers suffer. Of-course the drivers are part of the team, so can't really separate Lewis from the blame....Just getting sick of the excuses at Mclaren.

Re: Fire Martin Whitmarsh please!

Did Whitmarsh do the fuelling? Why do you defend this guy to the death? Mistake after mistake... Because he's not the guy making the mistakes. Did he operate the wheel gun at any races Or the Jack or put the fuel in? Get rid of whitmarsh and so what you get rid of the team boss. The guys making the...

Re: Fire Martin Whitmarsh please!

How many mistakes has hamilton made himself this year? 0 How many mistakes has hamilton encountered this year? 9 at least, that's 2 mistakes per race at bare minimum This has got to be getting frustrating for Lewis. The team continues to display a grotesque level of incompetence. At this stage, I t...

Re: Hamilton to muscle in on McLaren's Mugello test schedule

Each team in F1 has objectives. Teams such as Mclaren, Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes have the resources to fight at the front. Teams at the back have a longer timeline / horizon to reach the front, therefore their objectives are not necessarily to win the championship. If Mclaren's objective has ...

Re: Hamilton to muscle in on McLaren's Mugello test schedule

In most corporations CEO's who don't perform get fired. Why should Mclaren be any different? If you look at the CV, Martin is the man for the job, but in the last three years under his leadership the team has not won any championships. [/quote] :!: Really? Following that logic, everyone except Horn...

Re: Where will hamilton be next year

As much as I would hate to admit it, I hope he goes to Red Bull. A winning car, a team that has made all the right decisions in the past few years, and Adrian Newey, not to mention the challenge of partnering with a double potentially triple world champ.

Re: Hamilton to muscle in on McLaren's Mugello test schedule

I really didn't want to say it, but my impression is that most people coming to this thread to complain are sour Lewis fans who are tiddled off he doesn't have a go at testing the car to sort his issues, when he probably doesn't even need to test.  I was thinking they have lost wins and ...

Re: Hamilton to muscle in on McLaren's Mugello test schedule

I didn't put words in your mouth. But everytime MW does something it's a conspiracy against Hamilton on here. From Pit stops to broken gearboxes. Even this thread people are claiming Hamilton isn't allowed to go because Button doesn't want to (Even though Button is doing previously arranged sponsor...

Re: Hamilton to muscle in on McLaren's Mugello test schedule

Seems to be quite a few people on here that are experts on what testing is all about. The posters that say maclaren has the best car. Didn't look like it the last race. The posters that say maclaren is the best at car development. What happened last year? RBR kicked their donkey. They not only star...

Re: Hamilton to muscle in on McLaren's Mugello test schedule

I really hope Mclaren change their decision and give Lewis at least one day of testing. They need him to be confident in the car, and understand these new tires. Lewis has struggled with race pace every race this season, maybe with the exception of China. The last thing they need is a public falling...

Re: Fire Martin Whitmarsh please!

well I said it before and will say it again. having 2 top drivers taking points of each other as well as amatuer pitstop strategy does not win you championships. mclaren must be begging for refueling to hide the pitstop issues and lewis begging for button's engineer and ron back. Hamilton needs his...

Re: Fire Martin Whitmarsh please!

In a season where the teams are this close...every mistake is magnified. Mclaren have had serious issues with Lewis's strategy all season, and this time it cost him dearly. Clearly, he wasn't going to beat either of the Lotus's today, but I think he could of at least maximized to a 4th place finish....

The 2012 Season in 20 Questions

Saw a pretty cool post on the f1fanatic blog. 1. What will be the best surprise? 2. What will be the worst surprise? 3. How many different teams will win races? 4. Who will be the first driver to fail to qualify for a race? 5. How many races will Fernando Alonso win? 6. What will Kimi Raikkonen’s be...

Hamilton vs Button 2012 (Championship Edition)

After seeing testing, I'm really optimistic that it's going to be a tighter race this year, and even though the Red Bulls, Ferrari's, Renault's will be in with a shout of the championship, I think both Macca boys will be in title contention come Interlagos. We've seen how Jenson has a narrow edge ov...
