Re: Looking for a quote from Brawn..

Since Benetton was the first team to concoct the raised nose concept, no one knew if it would be just a one off for that season or if it would stay on. But then something happened while running those cars… they started winning, and as with any team who's enjoying success, it raised a few brows acros...

Re: Verdict on Sochi

What this race did do however, is demonstrate to those who criticise/despise Pirelli so much what they can look forward to if tyre philosophy went back to the Bridgestone era, and that they can in fact build a tyre capable of lasting. That's not quite accurate. I think this year Pirellis has made a...

I will weigh on the side of safety because drivers can always live to drive and put on a show another day. ;) No sense in increasing the danger factor unnecessarily. Think of Biachi's poor parents and what they are going through because "the show must go on". Race control and the track committee air...

No. I think it would be a disgrace for McLaren, and I've been a McLaren devotee since I started following F1. They need a decent finish or they won't be able to attract any sponsors for next year either. The target with Honda should be top 3, not top of the midfield. Nonsense… It is indeed McLaren ...

Re: Dallara GP2/05 – the case for ground effect in F1

This was no original idea by Dallara. It was a concept founded in F1 that was subsequently banned, but was continually developed and just about perfected over a period of a decade and a half in CART by Penske, Reynard and Lola. Dallara simply studied their works and developed their own. Ironically, ...

I really feel Vettel is getting judged very harshly this year. Sure, Ricciardo is beating him consistently. Ricciardo has also managed 3 impressive victories (admittedly, partially down to Mercedes problems but still great racing and good strategy). The funny thing is, what if Ricciardo is basicall...

No. Vettel's performance this year has been sub par but maybe he decided to jump ship much earlier in the year once he realised they could not likely catch Mercedes with the Renault engine and Adrian Newey stepping down slightly. If he beat Riccardo he wouldn't be able to trigger his get out clause...

I think age is less relevant now than it may have been in the past. The cars are a lot less physical to drive than previously, for one, so stamina is less of an issue.
