Re: Possible 4 part qualifying in 2019.
The only thing I would change is the stupid tyre rules. Give everyone two sets of non-marked quali types for Q1, Q2 & Q3. Then come race day let the driver fit whatever compound tyre they want at the start - hard, soft, supersoft, whatever - hell if you're Toro Rosso fit Full Wets! This way we would...

Re: Circuit de Catalunya
I dunno, it rewards the brave & punishes mistakes. I'm not saying its the magic bullet, but most modern tracks have these great big run offs that dont discourage the driver to slow down because they know nothing happens if they run wide (put two tyres on the artifical grass)

Re: Circuit de Catalunya
Actually, I've got a simple solution to fixing alot of tracks - no run offs. Just a curb and then gravel. This stops the cars from running wide, no more 'unfair track limits - he gained an advantage etc' and it seperates the boys from the men, certain drivers can push to the very limit and make it s...

Re: What would happen if Haas beat Ferrari?
I don't think it would be 'allowed' to happen, especially in the latter half of the year if Vettal or Raikkonen (ha) are fighting the Mercs for either championship. Remember, the main reason why Brawn didn't pick Ferrari engines in 2009 was that there would be a stipulation in the contract saying th...

With testing being so restricted nowadays & teams only allowed 8 full days prior to Aus, will FIA add in an extra day next week?

You are also forgetting that only Ferrari had access to the latest Bridgestone tyres which gave them at least 0.5 seconds advantage over other Bridgestone teams. Ferrari also forbid any other team that uses a Ferrari engine to beat (win) the official team. A position that is unique only to Ferrari. ...

Re: Marlboro contract extended - subliminal advertising?
Its actually quite simple really. By selling all the advertising space to Marlboro (Phillip Morris) Ferrari don’t have to worry about finding sponsors - they already have the money. So, if sponsors pull out, change or don’t pay, Ferrari doesn’t care because its Phillip Morris responsibility. Its Phi...

ooh, i've got a load of unpopular opinions..... The pitstop speed limit punish the driver too much so they don't gamble on an extra stop for fresh tyres. Take Schumacher out of the equation, replace him an average driver & keep the same Ferrari performance then Barrichello would be 2 x WDC in 2002 & 2004 & possibly in with a very good shout in 2001. Heck, take Jenson out of the equation & he could have been 2009 champion.

The point Massa's confidence crumbled was Germany 2010, it broke him. He had to lie for the team, move over, become the No.2 and realise that it was Alonso that was favourite and he basically never have a chance at another WDC.
