I distort the point! What? You stated, and I quote 'If nothing is fixed then F1 could switch to motorcycles and the claim could still be argued that it was still F1!' You the claimed the following after I pointed out changing from an F1 car to a motorbike wasn't exactly the same as adding some extra...

It really isn't the "crux" of the situation. Loads of LMP1 cars look great and I don't think F1 cars are things of great beauty anyway. So please don't put words in my mouth and tell me what I think. Regarding the white, I think Ferrari are damned if they do and damned if they don't. Every year some people complain that Ferrari is just red again. I also don't buy the argument that F1 will no longer be F1 if they enclose the drivers. So much else has changed over the years, it's nothing like it was. It has been 27 years since Alfa has competed in F1 with the Osella team. And another 30 since they competed as a manufacturer. And with their involvement in endurance racing, it will take a while to see Alfa coming back. It is not a bad idea to get the manufacturer into them support series. And it ...

I'm going for an 'OK' on the design. I certainly don't think it looks awful, nor am I blown away by it. Always better to judge them on track in the sunshine. Interestingly, the paint almost look to have a matt finish to it, especially on the red bits.

Re: Closed Cockpits Almost Here
I think F1 main selling point is they are the best drivers and teams in the fastest cars. You can make an argument that Ferrari, Mercedes (in the old days) McLaren, and perhaps Red Bull are the best teams in racing. The rest are highly doubtful. F1 cars do not race at the fastest speeds. Unless thi...
