Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
TheJudge13 is a banned source on this forum. Was this reported anywhere else? Seems a ridiculous claim to make tbh. The original source was Auto Motor und Sport and was further reported in various other publications such as the Judge13, F1 Today , grandprix.com and indeed PF1 itself. What Berger cl...

Re: The Official Lewis Hamilton thread
It's a pretty universal opinion. Man I'd say even Nico himself would agree! No it is not universal at all. Just because a handful of people in one internet forum believe something, that doesn't make it universal opinion. Can you find even a single source suggesting the opposite? If not, I'd say it'...

So the FIA should have an investigation into why this incident hasn't been investigated    I'm half expecting a 24 page thread from Fiki on this- why the incident wasn't at least investigated & how the lack of an investigation means we can automatically construe Rosberg guilty of wro...

Re: Give Mansell Hamilton's situation — does he win 3 WDC?
But I think people's opinions of Lewis are heavily coloured by the last couple of seasons. I don't really recall anybody making Senna comparisons pre-Mercedes. Whilst refraining from the rest of the thread (i'd happily put them in the same boat together, though Lewis has slightly more aptitude for ...

Re: Hardest records to break?
Hamilton holds a rather unique record - most consecutive seasons with at least one win from debut season i.e. a win in every season since he started (10 seasons and hopefully, still counting). For obvious reasons, i would imagine this is another record that would be difficult to beat or emulate?

Re: DOTW Britain - Officially Unofficial Driver Of The Weeke
It's amazing how much the tv coverage clouds people's opinion. A 3 tenth gap over Rosberg is a huge deal because the commentary team kept going on about it, yet the fact that every other pair of team-mates in Q3 had similar or bigger gaps between them is ignored. I can only speak for myself, but fo...

More to consider. Apparently, the PM is not empowered to action Art 50, it must come from parliament. Am I right in believing more MP's are not in favour of exit than are? If so, it is not going to get through. BTW, there is a brilliant vid here, based on the Monty Python. His final response had me...

Re: Should the UK remain in the EU (British citizens only)
Never mind Scotland, what about the rest of us! I think the UK should be split up on a town by town and city by city basis, so that everyone gets what they want. e.g. Derby could have a big fence around it, with a single entry point and armed guards keeping foreigners out, and if people from Derby ...

It's what I said would happen England/Wales apart from London would vote Brexit and Scotland would vote to remain in Europe. I thought Northern Ireland would vote Brexit though. Perhaps I would have been clearer if I had written "he didn't just make a mistake in slippery conditions, he purposely went there!" Does that clear it up for you? Going back into detail on that incident is superflous. There are those that have argued that Hamilton, in slippery conditions made a mistake, you refute that. No, I don't. I don't refute that Hamilton made a mistake in slippery conditions. Quote from one poster “”He left the track due to a mistake ...

Given a referendum is non-binding, is it still possible Britain might see sense, do nothing about it and just stick with the EU? Isn't triggering the exit still in their own hands, given it's upto them to invoke Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty ? It sounds like the various European factions are want...

He locked those wheels intentionally to bring out the yellow flag. That's the problem. That's where he showed his true self. That he isn't bothered to play unfair to win. I'm confused by the BBC coverage on their website. What os it that actually matters? Total votes or number of constituencies? Is this going to be as dumb as the Tory's getting a majority even though they got less than 50% of total votes? Overall though, almost 69% turnout is good. This is just two ...

Seeing how people bend the 2007 season to fit their perceptions is both laughable and irritating at the same time. The idea that Alonso ran away from McLaren is a very good example. I stand correct, sorry I missed that. What are your thoughts on 2008/09 being Hamiltons 97/98? Both Schumacher and Hamilton challenged for the title in clearly the second best car against weaker drivers and 2009 Hamilton won some races whilst Heikki's best 2 results were 4th and 5th all year. It do...

Though the film doesn't necessarily depict it, Rush was as much about Ferrari vs McLaren as it was Lauda vs Hunt. To this end, 2007 would be a good twist on this, as not only was there the same rivalry - with SpyGate involved - but the was the additional element of the surprise rookie package and t...

Stats can be manipulated any way you choose. To compare Rosberg, you have to look at his teammate and 3-time champ Hamilton - and Rosberg is right there, sometimes besting his teammate. If you really think Rosberg isn't the best driver not to win a title, then you probably think Hamilton isn't top ...

Really the only reason he's the most 'famous' is because he dated a Pussycat Doll. It really wouldn't have mattered if he won 1 or 6 WDCs, that simple fact made him 'tabloid' fodder. By contrast Vettel lives in a tent in a field with his missus and hence hasn't captured the public at large's imagin...
