Re: The Official Gaming Thread

I'll head in to work a little late tomorrow and see if they have any. I'd take just a PS3 for that price. There's only a few PS3 exclusives that tickle my fancy but I also need a new PSX as mine doesn't read FF9. Even though I haven't played it much for serious gaming, I love having a ps3 so I can ...

Couldn't agree more. Videos like this show how easy it is to manipulate people and play on their emotions. I'm not sure the indiscretions committed by Museveni are discussed in detail, which is convenient, n'est pas? I believe they glossed over this with a 'some aspects of a long and complex war we...

Re: More technical freedom?

I think technical freedom and testing need to go hand in hand. You can't turn up at a race weekend with some new fancy design, only for the design to fail and cause a massive shunt like Lamy in 1994, or Firman in 2003 (although that wasn't a new rear wing, it showed how dangerous it can be when thin...

But that's just the point of the video! The massive exposure it's gaining is appealing to those who will care to make a difference. Re: Rush - Ron Howard's Formula 1 movie

As I said in the Pictures thread I really don't like the fact they are using a very modern Arai helmet here. If this is supposed to be Cevert's car then that is a big accuracy error already. They are using new OMP gloves for Hunt as well using the modern OMP logo I believe too. :/ Doesn't bode well...

Have you played tf2? I have not. Pretty much been universally praised by all the gamers I know, but I like to play my shooters on a split screen multiplayer so I can play with my brothers, not just randoms off the internet (no offence to any randoms). Only play FIFA, and occasionally F1 2011 online.

Re: F1 without Ferrari: how would it be?

The Ferrari F1 team isn't there to advertise the road cars, the road cars are made to fund the racing team. The only way Ferrari will walk away from F1 is if they can no longer afford to run a team, and I don't see that happening either. I would miss them in F1, but to all extents they are just 1 o...

I don't think proper manual gearboxes are coming back any time soon. The cockpits are too small for a gear lever these days, and I don't think the FIA will ever want to make the car or the cockpit wider. Provided they don't use a H-Box, you could easily fit a shifter in the cockpit. Sorting out clu...

Shape is decent. The Gold Leaf/Johnnie Walker gold and burgundy is awesome, but there is too much white on the livery. If they went for a full blown GL Lotus livery it would be the best looking car on the grid by some distance. Still prefer the Marussia's step though. It's so small you can barely se...

Imo diving isn't necessarily that bad. It's annoying and frustrating, but there should be measures in place to stop it (competent referees, video evidence), so while UEFA/FIFA refuse to address those issues, people will always try to con the officials. It sucks, but a lot of the time it's difficult ...

No Viso? Going to suck if they've lost Lotus support AND PDVSA in one off season. Pandey cut and shut a lot of footage for the film (well, the theatrical release anyway), to fit the story he wanted to tell, so it wouldn't surprise me if it is edited footage. Maybe they just redubbed the engine note to help normalise the volume of the audio?
