Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck

I agree - but for some reason (and I know not what that might be) Blinky seems a little less objective in his analysis than his normal good self, as I suggested earlier in the thread, there is much that we simply do not know - and therefore any beliefs/opinions are likely more illustrative of perso...

Re: Vettel Told To Raise His Game

Even if Helmut said it after China, it's an interesting insight that perhaps the love for Seb isn't as unconditional as we may have thought. And has Marko only just passed this on to Benson? If so it has to count as a second kick up the backside, I'd have said, especially mentioning Hamilton. Seems ...

I think it's a good way of dealing with these unhealthy but not antisocial products - leave them legal but don't let them advertise. i wonder what you consider to be unhealthy... for sure alcohol, soft-drinks, energy-drinks, coffee, fat, sugar... probably very salty stuff i don't really know what y...

Re: Energy Drinks could be banned

I wouldn't mind. Given the amount of money and effort they put in motor racing (not only F1, also junior series and lot's of other classes outside of single seater racing) it would mean somewhat of a hit for motor racing. If anything it would mean the departure of a top team that values talent over...

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck

I doubt Hamilton's in-lap was super-duper-special. But it definitely was quick enough to take the lead when he exited the pits. My point is that he maintained race pace, and at no time did he back off. Some drivers are sympathetic to the condition of their car, some just drive hard, and it's either...

Okay 'braked better than' or 'pressurised Nico into locking up under braking'

Lewis' brakes were still not cooked, were they?

Re: Hamilton Vs Rosberg - Luck

When the electrics failed, the rear brakes had to take over the load the KERS was doing, namely provide some braking force. If you are in a race and the electrics failed in such a manner, it doesn't take a genius to connect the dots and realize that brakes that were already on the limit would be as...

Once again you're completely ignoring the fact that Lewis would not have had to back down in the first place if Nico hadn't cheated and got away with it. It was brake failure... It was an electronics failure, on both cars. Then it was a disadvantage to be behind, obviously. In terms of qualifying Lewis had got past before his brakes failed, so he was on course to win, if the electronics hadn't failed. The consequences of being behind were entirely u...

Hamilton's breaks failed because he was not running in clear air. He wasn't running in clear air because Nico did a better job in qualifying. Doesn't sound like luck to me. That's strange logic. Ricciardo and Rosberg. Nico hasn't necessarily been quicker than Lewis all year, but I think he's been a lot closer than a lot of people imagined he would have been. It's a bit unlucky that one team is so dominant, but it's sheer ignorance that FOM tell us so little about what's going on in the cars. We don't even get ERS use this year.
