Re: 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Threa
I like Hartley. But I think he is a long game racer not s f1 pilot. If he has not made the adjustment in 2 more GP, it is probably time to change him. He will either have a moment where he adjusts this week, or he will always be an endurance racer. I hope he does a flash change. He was only a few t...

Re: McLaren vs Honda 2018
Easy guys, its just one race, and it has not even started yet, let alone finished. I have some 'schadenfreude' but Mclaren must feel embarrassed enough to look closely at things. I like Honda, my first Honda was 1966, but I like Mclaren too. One of them is going to gut me this year. Still, I now hav...

Re: 2018 Bahrain Grand Prix Free Practice & Qualifying Threa
If Hamilton is starting from 5 down, there is not a lot of point in screwing his engine to fight the top 3. He was possibly working on a tyre saving setup to jump into the top group at pit time without taking 'Life' out of his engine. If he qualifies behind the Ferraris and RBR + team mate, he can s...

Re: Silly Season 2019
There is always a chance Ricciardo has just 'had enough' at RBR for what ever reason and desperately wants to move even if it is sideways. As everyone says, his best option is without doubt Merc. I don't think anyone disagrees here, but what if that option is not open to him? Then it depends if Bota...

Re: The Importance of two cars : Bottas cost Merc the win?
Think of this: When Raikkonen pitted, Hamilton logically pitted to cover him, but if Bottas was there with them, in 3rd or 4th position, he could've pitted the next lap. I'm guessing Vettel would've then pitted to either protect his 3rd position, or gain 3rd position with an undercut. And Hamilton ...

Re: Inlcuding engine modes in parc ferme conditions?
Being able to adjust engine mode is dead in line with how the earliest cars were run. The driver had an air lever and a spark lever and things like a decompression lever which is exactly what engine modes today are but they are presets on a computer. The Spark lever was replaced by centrifugal advan...

I used to like Horner, he just gets on my ,,,, chest, now though. OK so they start sat on the highest mode. What does that mean. dont use full revs until you need it for q3. Right!. In All I have read on this no one has stated the obvious. There was a short 'throw away line' by Patric Headd on Sky this morning after qualli when they were doing the chat thing in the studio. Why is everyone marking Force India/something down? I really do not know where to put them. Is there any reason they look weak or is it pure politics within the team? I see Merc clear ahead. It will probably be 'hyper' music and overlaid far too loud going by the films given as examples. The Chain is a tradition in F1 now and is as recognizable a theme tune as the longest soap operas.
