Re: Rate the Most Naturally Talented Drivers Ever.

Ive been watching F1 since 1998 and i have to say that Kimi is by far the most GIFTED driver ive seen in terms of driving ability.

Re: Some observations from the race

Either Seb is in very bad form or Webber is in very good form. Mark looks to have the slight edge this year. Which is strange because people kept saying Webber was past his prime last year, yet he's out qualifying his double world champion team mate and leading him in the points. win two in a row, ...

Re: Driver of the day - Malaysia

Alonso.

Perez shouldnt have made such a mistake when it was clear Alonso was slower than him.

A worthy mention goes to Hamiltion who i think did the maximum to get the most points he can.

Let's not forget why Ferarri got rid of him in the first place... banco santander happens to have the biggest market in brazil. yeah.... We know.... do you? Sure, Santander is the only to blame, and Kimi's performance was amazing in 2009.... Oh wait. Kimi's performance WAS amazing in 2009 especiall...

Re: Romain Grosjean

I hope that he understands how important this season is to his career. Make no mistake, he has a golden opportunity to have good results this year. It seems that he is currently driving the 3d best car on the grid. He has the chance to score points and possibly even make the podium. He has to produ...

Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread

Once again Fernando Alonso has one of the fastest pit stops among the racers... Kimi's are hella slow compared to his. we are talking about 7 seconds difference all stops combined, that matters alot when we're fighting for positions! Are the Ferrari's tyres just plain easier to bolt-on or is Lotus l...

Lewis seems a bit different in the way he talks compared to a few years ago. Looks abit more dangerous. I think he's going to be no1 contender for wdc this year.

But competition in 2012 is sooo different from 2005. Back then there was only the Mclaren, which was so flimsy it self destructs every 2 races.

Re: Report links Trulli with Massa's Ferrari race seat

I think it will most likely be Perez. Other possible candidates might be Buemi and Sutil. Kobayashi is very good but his overtaking prowess might pose too big a 'threat' to Alonso. An ideal candidate would be some that has decent one-lap pace and has composure to pull off cruise and collect strategi...

Re: Report links Trulli with Massa's Ferrari race seat

Alonso in front with Trulli train behind will be a deadly combo. And since Fisi's name popped up in this thread, I think some 10 years ago he was known among the paddock including drivers that he has one of the best driving technique among the racers, just not having the best car. How much has chang...

Re: Massa- career almost done?

Did anyone notice while Massa has overall underperformed in the past 2 seasons, his race starts have been STELLAR; especially during 2010. Whether is it due to car setup or racecraft I'm not sure. Even in Australia I think he had a better start than Alonso as well. Just like to point out this major ...

Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread

It's not so much the lower qualifying position that cost him but the race strategy priority that comes with it. Early 2009 and certain parts of 2008 were a pain to watch when in some races all Kimi could do was stare at massa's gearbox. I mean, we all know he is faster but.. Concussion, in the end ...

Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread

I don't think lotus is hindering him in any way now (except for the steering wheel which is taking bloody long to fix) but the onus is really on Kimi to prove that he has the ability to lead the team the way a top driver should; and the best way to start is to show it in qualifying. We've got robbed...

Of course quali isnt everything. but its important for Kimi to stamp his authority on the team by showing that he is able to get more out of the car relative to his teammate. just like what alonso has been doing all these years (except 07). i think it does affect the psychology of team and will for...

Ok, to be on the realistic side i think it is STILL fine if Kimi ends up within 2 tenths slower than Grosjean in Sepang qualifying. Im pretty confident will Kimi will outrace Grosjean come race day provided there are no stupid calls from the pit wall (ie. driver who qualifies higher have priority in...

Actually I do rate Sutil VERY highly.

And yeah it's funny and ironic because Sutil is definitely no pushover and that is the last person Alonso needs.

Re: The Official Kimi Räikkonen thread

Kimi smoking Lewis and Massa in spa2008 was unforgettable.

On a side note, is it me or is the lotus not really showing the race pace that boullier was talking about.
I mean Kimi just doesnt seem fast enough to pass kamui during the last stint of the race.

I don't get it why people start crying after only one qualifying that was ruined by a mistake. The car seems to be pretty decent, Kimi can still drive that car, has had some experimenting going on with the setup, but that is it. Not a reason to make such a big deal. I am sure he will do better star...
