As well as the more advanced illuminated info shown on the Ferrari above, at races like Le-Mans, a simple collection of 3 lights on the side of the car are used to indicate the top three positions in each class. Simple but perfect tech.

Are people excited about the upcoming race because they believe the cars to offer up close racing, or that it is in some way superior to all other single seater race series aside from F1? Internet research on which books people genuinely recommend, then regular trips to the good old fashioned library. There's nothing you can't order a book about. You just need to do that little bit of research about which books are thought of as being the most useful. There's forums on line about eve...

I did watch it and I'll watch the next race. I'm happy to give it a chance. However, despite the hype, the cars looked very easy to drive. Hardly ever did the cars look twitchy. They were on rails. FR 3.5 cars look and sound amazing, lap spa only around 10 second off F1 cars and have amazing races. ...

Disco name help.
Hi all. Some help needed please. Me and a mate have got hold of a load of disco equipment and will be running discos mainly for children from 5 years up to mid teens I would think. We just can't think of a suitable name to use for the disco that would fit that age range

I know a lot of people are thinking along the 'tradition' lines, and I too often cross over into that realm of thought on various F1 and motorsport issues. However, if you look at F1 cars from today, 20 years ago, 30 years ago etc etc. they are such different beasts it's hard to actually see any tra...

Re: Why haven't We seen this in F1 yet?
F1 needs to take a long hard look at the way DORNA produces the MOTO GP racing. I'm not simply saying this to compare the two sports on track, after all, MOTO GP is way ahead of F1 in terms of drama, and MOTO 3 destroys it even further imo. MOTO 2 is also incredibly fun to watch at any circuit. Howe...

I always found interactive coverage of sporting events to seem like good idea on paper but a bit rubbish in practice. Ultimately you can only watching one thing at once. You keep flipping around usually feeling like you are missing something. After a while it dawns on you that what you really would...

Re: 14 cars OR 20 cars but no Ferrari
If Ferrari left and did no other big name motorsport then it would not be too much of a problem, however, if they left and pumped in all their resources to Sportcar racing with a full factory team, it could be a different matter for F1 with a huge number of fans moving across to watching that instead.

Just throw some fenders on it and you have a WEC car. I'm totally against enclosed cockpits. If you close the cockpits then you change the formula. Jules Bianchi was injured due to bad decisions not an open cockpit. And there's nothing you can do to safeguard against bad decisions. Just throw some ...

If ventilation and heat were the issue, it couldnt be very hard to put air con. Sure it adds weight etc. but in the name of aafety it would be doable. To be honest, any WEC team would be mad to pass up the opportunity to sign him if he was seriously interested and committed. He is certainly a fast driver, but his biggest reputation is that of a smooth driver, probably the most important factor in endurance racing. If he can't put it on pole, anoth...
