Re: 2017 Spanish Grand Prix Practice & Qualifying Thread
In dry conditions RB won't be in the mix regardless of the updates they bring, their only chance is with verstappen and some rain.

Re: Are these new 2017 cars a complete failure?
I have found the first 4 races quite boring as well. Ham couldn't get past Max in Australia which showed just how hard these cars are to overtake . (new tyres on a quicker car vs old tyres on slower car) Ignoring the start and opening lap, in dry weather I don't think we have seen a proper overtake...

Re: Are these new 2017 cars a complete failure?
Incredibly dull racing, almost non existing wheel to wheel action, almost zero overtakes... the air turbulences are so huge that the drivers lose the grip even being 2 seconds behind. Should we go back to the narrower, smaller, 2016 cars? This is a serious question. Or else, what should be done to ...

Anyone have the sector times of the top 4 at hand? Even better would be the PB sector times as well as the sector times from their fastest laps, if there's a difference. Wohou! It's Vettel! Congrats to Vettel, Kimi and Massa, stars of the qualifications. It's a red first row! And Massa beating a RBR is sensational. Mercedes seems to be sinking compared to Ferrari who made a tremendous effort. Yes Massa is really driving well, carrying Williams by himself. If Kimi f...

Why didn't Mercedes order lewis to give back the position to bottas once it became obvious he couldn't win? There was nothing mercedes could do, the ferrari was simply a better package on the day. Hamilton chewed through his tyres alarmingly quick in that first stint. If he stays out, he would have most likely got undercut, he comes in and gets overcut, that result was inevitable imho.
