Please tell me exactly where he says that the crash was intentional? The stewards were wrong on their verdict here, as Martin Brundle himself said on commentary. Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

Is Max ruining Hamilton's legacy? Only if you believe Hamilton is the best F1 driver that's ever lived, I believe this thread was started in 2020 before Verstappen had won any titles and then got rehashed by a Verstappen fan I guess as a kind of told you so, I don't believe Verstappen can erase Ham...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

lets put that into words: VER is napping at 1st place in a dominating car since years, with a a very bad teammate. Excuses. Hamilton had the same circumstances in 2019 and 2020 and simply couldn’t do it. In 2019 he won only 11 races out of 21 (a touch above 50%) in a car in which Bottas comfortably...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

Last year, last year, last year, we are talking about 2025 in case you didn't notice. Does Alonso look any worse this year and he's about 3 years older than Hamilton. Yes, Alonso is declining year after year, how could that not be the case? Which is why it is very hard to gauge the AMR24's ultimate...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

A very selective comparison, driven by an agenda, then? And you don't see a difference between a young driver in the advent to becoming a superstar and an old driver approaching his 40s who has already won everything? Lost his big chance at victory in Brazil because of a terrible qualifying session...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

Of course Ferrari has much more data on their drivers. But the team does not have that same level of data on Hamilton. Furthermore, the inevitable decline in ability of a 40 year old driver compared to that same driver 10 years young is rooted in scientific research. Hamilton would probably be the ...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

For someone who at the height of his career rakes in a mere $12M in endorsements, I would say that his marketing value is distinctly below that of other sports stars. Looking at the roster of brands, most of these are linked at the Mercedes F1 Team. I think many here are overstating Hamilton's appe...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

You genuinely believe that Hamilton is going to be better than Leclerc in 2025? I find that extremely hard to believe and I think that Ferrari have made a massive mistake, because in my opinion in 2025 Sainz will also be better than Hamilton. Only time will tell of course. Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

Well, how many other Red Bull athletes do you really know by heart? For those that follow Formula One the team already has one of the best known drivers on the planet, so that part of the population will not be buying more cans. Worldwide Verstappen's level of fame and Hamilton's are totally incomp...

Yes, Ferrari has gone for it which means one of two things. Either the team does not rate the best of its drives as at least as good as Hamilton or the team is literally living in a dream world. Probably it won't happen but if Perez gets dropped from RBR. I wonder if he can join Hulk in Audi. Looking at some stats from their FI time. They both were on par with each other. Hulk faster in qualifying and Perez in races, including some podium which for some reason Hulk could not do. I've read ...

Re: Is Hamilton ruining Max’s legacy?

Yes, because Red Bull would not be selling more cans with Hamilton. Ferrari might sell more t-shirts and more caps and maybe a few more cars too. I don’t think it works out at the rumoured total cost of the deal, but it appears the Ferrari board is willing to chance it. In return the team gets a 40...
