Re: Silly Season 2019 (Updated - RPFI confirms Stroll)

Could this be a possible new sponsor for McLaren? The article includes comments from Zak Brown so it seems to be more on the racing side of things rather than the road car side:

Sounds like the Russians interfered with that vote as well as the 2016 US election.

Just read this news:

https://www.autosport.com/fe/news/14001 ... -in-201819

Seems a bit half hearted to me showing the races on either the red button or via the website, at least one race will be on one of the BBC's channels, why not put them all on a channel.

All Indycar races were (and currently still are) on BT Sport or ESPN but I think that is changing for 2019.

British Grand Prix news

I expect that I'm in a minority but I personally wouldn't mind the British Grand Prix taking place in London if it cannot be at Silverstone anymore, as long as there is a British Grand Prix somewhere, that is the main thing, in my opinion. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/139900/f1-hints-british-gp...

The worst thing I've seen happen at Interlagos was the year (I can't remember which) that the advertising hoardings on the start straight fell down while the F1 cars were on the track, it was so lucky that none of the drivers were seriously injured (or worse).

Not sure if this needs a new topic or not but according to Joe Saward's latest notebook blog, 2019 will probably be the last race at Sao Paulo. If true I have mixed feelings about this, on the one hand the track layout is very good but on the other hand, it's in a really run down area and practicall...

Apparently they pulled out of deal with Williams at the 11th hour after Williams asked for proof of funds, the deal with Haas is for half the amount of what the Williams deal would have been. This sounds distinctly dodgy, I just hope that Haas has enough money to survive when what seems inevitable ...

Not wanting to start an argument but in my opinion, as a Lewis Hamilton fan, however many World Titles he ends up winning before he retires, he will always be at least one or two titles short of where he should be due to various circumstances.
