Re: The Tripod of F1

The greatest battle ever in F1, at Dijon 1979 was open wheel and close racing. Yet it was much slower than cars these days. And we still call it the greatest battle ever.

Re: Should Bottas contract be extended?

Rosberg didn't win in 2016 - far from it. He was outdriven by Lewis for the entire year, but very bad mechanical luck cost Lewis that championship. There were several things which made Rosberg get the WDC Title. 1. He conquered Hamilton strongholds, such as Spa, Monza and Suzuka. 2. He had a great ...

Oh but if we're including former drivers then I have only one entry 3 times: Michael Schumacher The bane of my childhood. I supported every driver that ever went up against him. And my anti-Schumacher thing was justified after all the dodgy things he did. He was an occasional cheat, Ferrari were ch...

Re: Should Bottas contract be extended?

I just can not imagine Ocon getting the same number of pole positions like Hamilton and beating him occasionally, like Bottas did 4/12 this year. He would be labeled super-talented.

Re: 2019 Hungarian Grand Prix Race Thread

Not to be too controversial, but... In Australia, Leclerc ended up catching Vettel at the end of the race due to strategy, was much quicker, but was told not to pass. In Hungary, Vettel ended up catching Leclerc at the end of the race due to strategy, was much quicker, and was allowed to pass. What...

What are your three most favored drivers and why?

To keep the balance with the thread started by Invade, I created this one with three most favored driver. Sebastian Vettel - one of the most genuine and humble guy. Down to earth, good with jokes and even sketches. His video as a car mechanic Puchovsky was hilarious, as well as many other jokes. Ver...

Re: Who are your 3 least favourite drivers and why?

Lewis Hamilton - his ego is tastelessly super big, and I specially dislike that kind of people. His running mouth has already put him in trouble more than any other driver. His saying that, when beating his rivals, inflicting the pain on them makes it more enjoyable for him, reveals that deep inside...

Re: It's not the car, it's Lewis!

While the car is very important, one more parameter comes into play: how much is a specific car in accordance with the liking of the driver. In certain cases also: around which driver is the car built. Step further: how much set of rules regarding the cars favor one driver over the other. So, nothin...

Re: Should Bottas contract be extended?

If Ocon will lack those 0,2 or 0,3 seconds to Hamilton it would be bearable. But if the difference is 0,5 or 0,6 seconds per lap, we will have a new Gasly on the road, crisis in Mercedes and big pressure on them. I think Mercedes should not gamble, but then, I do not own the marque and it's up to th...

Re: It's not the car, it's Lewis!

You are going too far in the past. And in the past, Bottas was ordered to move for Hamilton, which might have affected his standings. Does it make a difference? Not big, but it's not black and white. Also, we know not is the support to both driver the same. There are a few unknown parameters which c...

Ham did really well, congrats to him, as well as Max, who again put a good showing. Someone had to win, Ham got it right.
