Re: Winning Streaks in the Lewis Hamilton Era

It is no coincidence that 2 of the longest winning streaks came from 2 Red Bull drivers (Vettel and now Verstappen). The dominance of this team(operations, strategy, team dynamics, aerodynamics) is even superior to any kind of dominance Verstappen could have against any driver. I have watched long ...

Re: Michael Masi. 1 Year on.

Verstappen wasn't afraid of having an accident, what was on his mind was that he couldn't allow himself to miss the restart, I think you misunderstood what I was trying to say. Siao7 brought up article 39.7 which says cars have to be in line behind the SC, but that is only until the unlapping has f...

Re: Michael Masi. 1 Year on.

I recall Schumacher having an accident behind the SC in the Monaco tunnel. While the distance was probably still a maximum of 5 car lengths in between cars, that was lengthened to a maximum of 10. Which only increases the difficulty for somebody not wanting to be caught out at a restart. And that w...

Re: Michael Masi. 1 Year on.

That's how it generally goes. Step 1. Behaviour is normal if not exactly by the book. Step 2. Verstappen does it Step 3. All hell breaks lose Step 4. New rules come into force to prevent this behaviour Step 5. This is bafflingly used as proof that the stewards/race director/FIA/King/Jesus/God obvio...

Re: Michael Masi. 1 Year on.

The "Verstappen overtook under the SC" narrative is as much as red (dead, dead red?) herring as the "Hamilton should have defended harder" narrative. Before Verstappen started doing it drivers used to overlap (And I'm sure sometimes nudge ahead) under the SC all the time and nobody cared. Verstappe...
