I think the International Sporting Codes Appendix L says in effect any manoeuvres liable to hinder other driver is strictly prohibited, it gives some examples such as crowding off the track or multiple moves to defend but they don't define the limits of the rule.

Jet fighter canopy seems to be the best idea for protecting driver from flying debris. It should improve visibility as well because you could move the drive higher or the bodywork lower. And that would improve wheel-to-wheel racing with less amatuerish crashes. Yes- I had a close call with flying d...

I maintain petrol prices are still quite cheap. A pint of beer costs about £3 in local, for roughly half a litre of beer so £6 a litre. Petrol is a quarter of that. Then again, I don't need to be drunk to go to Tesco for my shopping (in fact, law tends to frown upon it) but I do (relatively) need m...

There's an alternative: organise another country's Grand Prix at the original venue. Remember the GP of Luxembourg at the Nürburgring because the German GP was at Hockenheim? Now I like that idea. Russian GP at Spa 8) So we could both go racing in France and Belgium. I hate the idea of a Russian GP...

But the rules.say.if you pass the red light and fail.to stop.at the weigh bridge. You.should be disqualified. English is not my native language, but as far as I've been taught all my life the only time when "ain't" is to be used when it's shortened from "am not", if that. I do think it's a colloquial way of saying things, and may not work too well in written English. My spellchecker doesn't even think it's...

It's a new team so you can't expect many good results in the first year and you are going to need time and commitment from lead drivers. They would finish last. All the other drivers would be on there own so would be able to use their normal F1 cars but the 6 world champions would be in the same car so would need to use some kind of people carrier. No matter which of them was driving the performance difference between an F1 car and a...

This is a tough one. Would have been Mansell if he had not made his comeback in 1995 with McLaren... I can't think of anybody who achieved this in the 1970s or since, so my guess is that the answer is from the 1950s or 1960s, but I can't say who for sure without checking on Wikipedia.... Stinger!-Each driver can deploy one stinger during the race, measuring 2x2x2x2ft, in an attempt to puncture their rivals tyres. If Seen had not of died, I think he would of been Champion in 94, 95 & also 96, then probably would of retired, The Williams F1 car of 95 was probably better than the 94 williams but Damon Hill and Coulthard just weren't good enough back then for me. The gap between Senna and Hill at the start of 1994 was like the gap between Schumacher and his team mate... In Brazil - the only race we can really judge on - Senna and Schumacher both would have lapped Damon Hill who finished 2nd behind Schumacher. That is a 80 second lap, 71 lap race. As it ende...

I don't really see what changes with Senna blinded due to a severed retinal artery, brain damaged by the bleeding on his brain and further brain and spinal damage from the basal skull fracture. Doesn't sound like someone who is going to be in a position to walk again never mind win a motor-race.

I've had a look at the rules and I can't see anywhere where it stops you changing the test days. as long as the circuit is properly staffed / marshalled etc? That isn't the problem, the problem is that it is the week before the start of the first event. The first GP is in the week of 12-19 March so...

Hill would not have to be the 1996 World Champion, that year shaped him as a person and as a driver. He was thrust into a difficult spot and had to man up...without this happening to him, who knows what would have happened? Coulthard would not have been a Williams driver either. Not that soon at le...
