Lewis actually won thrice.
First when he extended his stint on the wet tyres & 2nd when Red Bull screwed the pit stop.

Pirelli wanted 1 type of tyre to have a Blue colouring & since Pirelli's assumed favourite colour is Blue, they created the 'Wet' tyre.

1 reason for the safety car start is that when the cars run for a few laps, their tyres help displace any standing water on the track.

I'm assuming this was done on purpose.

Letting Verstappen win on his debut. This would catch more eyeballs than Ricciardo winning, which is why they screwed his race with a 3 stop call.

Also does this throw any clue that maybe Ricciardo would be joining Ferrari in 2017?
